I have Aeroforce gauges and see 170-185, but it hasn't gotten that hot out and I haven't driven real far or hard. How hot do they get and what is a "do not exceed" temp if someone might know?.
Thanks,
WC

When I ran a trans temp gauge, it mirrored the engine coolant temperature.

I have my Autometer Cobalt Electric Full Sweep Trans. Temp. Gauge sender mounted in the pressure port in the side of the trans. case. I traditionally see temps. between 170* - 190*.

I wouldn't be concerned until the temp. exceeded 225*.

I do a lot of highway driving, and mine never sees more than 185-190 degrees in bumper to bumper traffic. Cools down quick once it gets moving again. At the track though, I've seen a little higher after a pass, but nothing out of the ordinary.

On the freeway I see about 175-180. In traffic I've seen it hit 195. I'll find out what it does at the track this Sunday (hopefully). Temps were about 5-10 cooler before the blower.
