Sometimes when Im backing out of a parking spot and my car is in neutral I have a hard time shifting into reverse. I have to try maybe 4-5 times before car goes into reverse. I do have a k-member brace bar and I have a 5spd manual. Any suggestions on what I should do to avoid this from happening again.

This is what I do if I have trouble going into reverse, I put it in neutral let the clutch out then back in and it goes right in, Your just lining the teeth up on the gears, Truckers have been doing this for years, Hope this helps and you don't have a real problem

I always put it up into 5th then back down into reverse. Works without a hitch. Before long you dont realize your doing it.

Is this something new? If it is, does the clutch engage with the pedal closer to the floor now too?

sometimes my car does this as well, ive always had luck with sticking it back into 1st letting the clutch out enough to catch, then clutch back in and back into reverse
