heres a leather grip that covers just the grip to give the appearance of the shelby lever. this is the aftermarket pebble which has a nice soft feel to it.

and this is another version of our famous 05-09 padded armrest cover with leather on the top and alcantara on the sides. theres a option for this cover on the store page of the website. this cover has the red stitch on the red and black stitch on the black.

I like that very well. Looks great!

not sure if we could do the grip with the oem material as its so stiff and thick. we would have problems with the fold over at the rear of the grip. we can try one maybe though.

we could do diamond stitches in the cover but as far as mixing materials it would not work out. i`m gonna take this to pm`s.

Mike, Just left you some positive feedback. Love both items they came out much better than what I had anticipated. Excellent work and a fast turn around time.
Looking forward in ordering again from you :)
Thanks again!

thanks alex for taking the time to do a i trader. super glad you like the parts. the diamond stitch came out really cool, it was fun to make. just to let everyone know, putting the store page on hold for a week or 2 while i`m relocating. marcy is gonna keep stitching the parts, but the turn around time will be maybe 2 weeks instead of a couple days, and will be back in action as soon as i get moved. thanks, mike

Just to let everyone know amustangrocks is top notch!

I have roush black/blue leather with blue stitching and he sent me a sample with his two blue threads he had, neither matched so he went out of his way to order a new blue, which was very close!

I then ordered a leather option 2 and alcantara arm rest cover. loved it so much, I then ordered a ebrake cover, cant wait for it to come in!

I plan to get the gt500 steering wheel which should really set the interior off.

hey cool and thank you. just remember, dont pull on the frt flap to install the cover. please use the instructions on the how to install page. theres a little video to show how i stretch the cover to the frt past the edged about 3/8", then fold the flap over one corner at a time then work the cover back to the rear till the locate holes in the bottom line up with the pins.

using the plastic is about a must. its helps the leather to slide over the plastic lid, and the same with the ebrake covers. the plastic is key for the install. there is a install post for those down on that page also.

i dont have the perforated alcan in stock yet, but will order some soon, unless someone wants it then i`ll order it right away.

Thinking about buying these now... But in the middle of buying stuff for engine build + SC install... Very tempting.
the armrest covers make a huge difference for driving pleasure on the interior of the car, and look pretty cool too. so much so that you will never not want to have one once you do have one. if i had to give mine up now i wouldnt even want the car.:nah:
if your still driving the car and getting parts together,,,:idea:15-20 minute easy install (made in U.S.A)

Glad to see you are still making these fine leather products for S197's even though I don't have mine anymore. I do still have all of your leather products though. I wouldn't dare sell them as I know I'll eventually get me another yellow s197.

For anyone contemplating this stop thinking about it and just do it. The work is phenomenal, craftsmanship perfect, and service second to none. Easily a staple mod, and you'll ask yourself how in the hell you ever lived without it!

i like how your website says alacantra is found in high end sports cars... and boss mustangs. lol. sometimes you gotta bring us mustang guys back down to earth. lol.

Can you make an 05-09 ebrake handle boot that covers the sides like the 01-04 and 10-14?

I kind of want to do the alacantra armrest and shiftboot but i have kids and sometimes they step on my armrest. Do you think it would hold up?

ha, thats just all wrong isnt it? it was suppose to be high end European sports cars ( as the guys that makes it is in france) i might better fix that. dont want to hurt any feelings with the boss`rs :omfg:

the alcantara is really tough stuff. ive hit it with thinners and done things normal people wouldnt do and it holds up. it holds up on seats and steering wheels, in boats and planes, a armrest no swet.

now there is 2 variations of it. there is the panel grade which is very thin, we use that for all the shift boots and ebrake boots in the 10+ cars as its more flexible, then there is the cover grade, which is the exact same material only with a backing on it like marine vinyl has. it makes it the thickness of seat leather. we use that for the tops of all the armrests, then we use the panel grade for the frt flap on the 05-09 armrest covers cause it wraps the frt nicer.

on the ebrake boot, we could maybe make one, but we choose not too. because the lever is so long on the 05-09 we never liked the look of that huge parachute looking boot. you can get one though from redline. they have alot of options too. ive had a few guys buy a boot like that and send it to me to cut up just to get the colored leather as i cant get the colors.

the only place to get one is to buy the vinyl boot/trim ring assembly. its something like $160,which is crazy cause its just plastic and vinyl. i think you can get one from the shelby store. if you can find a used one that has a trashed boot for cheap, we can make a leather or alcantara boot for it. the boot is not suppose to be able to be replaced, but ive done a bunch, i have some install instructions for it on the website.

Can you do an ebrake cover that has the handle in leather, http://forums.themustangsource.com/...onsole-armrest-leather-alcantara-dscf3317.jpg
and then the rest of the lever in leather too instead of the one piece? I think it would look much nicer broken up even though it would be connected.
So I guess what I'm saying is a seam at the end of the handle. I think that would look awesome.
we tossed that around a little last year, but i`ll get with marcy and see what she thinks about a idea i have. that curved cover is very hard to stitch as is. adding the cross seam makes it really thick where it would all intersect.

Cool! I would love a piece like that.
ya, brian talked about that same idea year before last, but its not gonna happen. that part is really hard to make as is, the top seams on the inside get cut back, the bottom seams on the inside get folded and glued. any kind of cross seam makes it too thick to sew and will interfere with the seam construction. she could run a couple stitch lines around the top and sides at the grip line, but thats not gonna give the split effect your looking for. sorry about that

here some perforated charcoal alcantara on a test cover we just did. i guess roush used this on some custom seat inserts so now we can match that up. we dont have it in black yet. pretty nice though. we can also use this on the 05 covers.
