So after taking it completely apart, putting a load on it and tightening everything back it still clunks to all hell. I have a BMR upper bracket with a UMI roto control arm. The jam nuts are all tight and the pinion angle is correct. What the hell am i missing?

No its a roto joint bushing. The only thing thats still original up top is the differential rubber bushing. The lowers are all stock. It didnt clunk untill i replaced the upper control arm. It even clunks when its up in the air but nothing looks likes its moving other than a sloppy 2 piece drive shaft.

If you want quite ride you should have bought the poly bushing, the roto joints make noise, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. They clunk, they are not street car parts. I refuse to install on DD's , only race and auto cross cars.

If it's a roto-joint make sure you've set that delrin liner good and tight before you install the part. I tightened up my lowers earlier this year and it helped although I still get some clunking from back there. As someone mentioned the roto-joint is going to make some noise darn near no matter what.

You can't torque the arm to the bracket to spec with it in the car, it must be done with the bracket and arm out and then put back in there as one piece. The bolt that mounts the arm to the diff and the bolts mounting the bracket itself to the chassis can be done to spec no problem.

I really dont think the clunk has anything to do with the bushings. Im running rod ends out back and have no clunks.......

I used the steeda UPR with the steered spacers or reducers and I still get a nasty clunk. It's a poly UPR

Mine clunks and it drives me sam hell crazy... That spacer shit from UMI looks like it could help out quite a bit with that. I think mine clunks because the factory rubber bushing is shot I think on the rear end. I'm not sure I gotta get back up under there but do you guys reccommend a new bushing or what?

The spacers will only work on stock mounts since aftermarket mounts correct the hole issue.

One thing to check is the drive shaft. There is a lot of play at the yoke... if you crawl under the car grab the drive shaft and you will see how much play and moment is in it. We have a theory that placing the stiffer suspension items on the vehicle enhances the drive shaft issue. I have a clunk with mine as well, as soon as I get a 1-piece drive shaft on it I will post the results.

I still get noise outta there even with a axle exchange driveshaft and a aftermarket uca plus aftermarket bracket.

Btw the trunk "floor" is just a thin piece of wood with carpet on it and it is also a source of noise.

My driveshaft seems to have more play than it should but all I have is relo brackets and LCAs

i hate to bring this post alive but, i think maybe the 2 piece driveshaft isnt the problem for most people. i believe my rearend has too much backlash and is what is causing the play in my drivetrain. maybe this is the case for others as well?
