Texas is expensive, but gets cheaper if you get them for an extended period of time. I ordered mine for 5 years and that cost 495. I still have to pay the yearly registration fee though.

Sucks for everyone having to pay that much.
I'm gonna order mine soon, and here in NM it's $32 for 2 years plus my registration fee. Total of $134 for vanity plates and registration for 2 years

Myplates is more expensive than just getting regular vanity plates from the tax office. Dmv just has the plain white plate ....my plates has all the options. The plates I wanted would have cost me $195. That ain't happening. Dmv would be $95 a year.


So does Texas still have the DMV plates? I used to have those in my 08 and it was closer to the $95 a year you say, including registration.

To my knowledge, the DMV still does personalize plates. I was told this by them about 6-8 months ago.
