And I hear ya on all the crap in the trunk. I drove to the track with my rear tires on, but carried my fronts, a jack, tools, gas can, and air pump out there. Considered chairs and a cooler but figured that would be pushing the limit of turning the damn thing in to a truck.

No really... what was that on the back. You said "I had a set of slicks" but what size were they, what wheels, etc? I don't have a set of track tires and wheels laying around that are spares, but I do have a pair of 17X8s that I am not doing anything with.

They slicks are M/T 26 x 10 x 15, rims are alum 15 X 8. Plans are for 15 x 10 wide. Sending my son to college has put a severe crimp in my car toys funds


I appreciate the offer for rims but gotta keep going in the direction I've aready started in since I have already purchased the slicks

Matt is right. You don't need 10" wheels.

What 15X8 wheel was it, and for what vehicle? I am running 15X8s and mine are flush with the fender lip. Yours were sticking out so bad we could see it from across the pits.

I vote weather. I don't think many of these incredible times for mild N/A cars are repeatable - it's a one off in ideal conditions.
