So I've done 2 road course days and two unofficial autocross days and I just signed up for my first sanctioned autocross day with the PCA maverick region. My previous 2 road course days were both at ECR and I did a pretty easy autocross day at a Yokohama ride and drive for work, and I did a very short track that vorshlag setup at a mustang vs camaro event. So this will be my first real event. I'm pretty excited and nervous at the same time. Haven't been able to install any mods yet, so my car will be a bone stock base brembo 14 with 275/40/18 NITTO nt05's on 18x10.25s. Should be a good learning day. Whish Mr council could be there with me lol.

Lol thanks guys. I'm just worried about going the wrong way and getting off course because of not enough cones. From the videos I watch, looks like most don't cone the course we'll. I'll walk the course as many times as I can.

I was worried my first time out too. What helped me the most was working the course first before running. At SCCA events to have a work heat and a run heat. I was lucky and got to work first, so I was able to see where the common screw up areas where and make a mental note of it.

That's always a nice help. You're supposed to be paying attention anyway, so why not take mental notes on the course?

Walking as many times as you can helps. If they have a novice walk, it sounds like it may help you out, too. Part of the challenge is to remember the course you are supposed to take.
