Who has experience with doing a gear swap?

Hi everyone! I'm brand new here. Lucky me just picked up a 2007 GT convertible with only 49K in absolutely mint condition. I want to put in 4.10 gears for better acceleration. It currently has 3.73's....I did a little research and it looks like a gear swap is a very difficult job (I would NOT be doing it myself) with very strict measurements and tolerances, and small parts that if not done right can cause overheating and the gears shredding themselves to bits. Am I being a little overconcerned or paranoid? Do any of you have any good stories or horror stories with gear swaps?

Installation is very simple, setting up the back lash is what can be difficult. I suggest keeping the 3:73… you won’t feel much going to 4:10 from where you’re at.
