What seats are you running?

I put some Sparco Chrono roads in mine. I
did this for a few reasons 1. cost-a friend had these never used and needed to move them. I got a killer deal 2. reclineable- my car is a street car that i tote the kids around in, at least for the time being. They seem like decent seats although these seats are mediums iirc and I'm too skinny to fit snuggly. Even then still better than the leather things i had.

I used corbeau brackets although I had to modify them some to get these seats to work with them.

I am planning on getting some corbeau CR1s here soon. What did you do for the airbag sensor so the lights not on? I know some people can live with it on, but I am one who cant lol

there are some write ups. You basically have to take the harness's out of each seat for the track sensors, seat belt sensor and the passenger side weight sensor. You then use resistors to fool the system into thinking bags are in there. Its pretty easy. The hardest part was making the corbeau brackets work for the sparcos. Even that was light measuring and drilling a few holes.

Which side brackets are you using with your Cobra seats? With the Cobra brackets and sliders, my helmet was hitting the roof, and I'm only 5'10".

Are there any seats that adjust up, down, back and forth like the Ford racing recaro seats but don't cost over $2500

No, race seats are not street seats, I am not sure what you are looking for. I am guessing you want a street seat embroidered with MOMO, COBRA, Recaro, etc... on it to look "racey" on the street because that is what those Ford Racing seats are. Good luck!

Man that is a very close match. It isn't until you eyeball it hard and look at the side bolsters that you can even tell they are different seats. I think they look real good! What bars do you have back there? That another MM setup?

I'm using cobra side brackets and sliders, Vorshlag seat mounts. I'm 5'10" and have no problem with my helmet hitting the roof.

It really is. I'm very happy with how they look in the car. Watson Racing roll bar and rear seat delete kit.

I was in a boss 302 car and loved the seats especially the side bolsters but didn't like the price tag.

I'll be getting some Cobra seats at some point in the very near future. My only motivation to do so is for the weight reduction aspects of having them.

Its a beautiful thing to be able to shave almost 100lbs off the car by swapping out the factory leathers. On my car after a front seat swap and rear delete kit I'll only have about 80 more lbs left to shave off to meet my 3500lb goal w/ driver & 1/2 tank of gas...

I was very glad to see that Vorshlag released the seat brackets for the Cobra's because it sure makes the decision a whole lot easier now that proper brackets are available. It seemed like for a while there proper brackets for the various seats on the market were MIA and I saw many people talk about having issues with the mounted height of the aftermarket offerings.

Wow, I guess the Vorshlag mounts are the way to go. I'm using Planted mounts with mine. I'm surprised there's such a large difference in height between them, but it's hard to say without sitting in your car.

The Vorshlag mounts are pretty tailored to this exact application....my car was one of the development ones, and we (Ryan) went through literally a whole day of tweaks with the cobra brackets, sliders, and base bracket in order to get a good seat back angle and overall height.

That's good to know. I might consider upgrading later this year since my Cobra sliders are just collecting dust.

Im at 6'. No way I could use sliders under my seat with the cobra brackets. I used planted floor brackets and they sit almost flat on the floor. I had to modify the cobra side brackets and the planted brackets to get the seats low enough to keep my helmet from hitting the roof.

Terry is 6'2", seems to work ok for him...

Zquez, I see you have both Schroth racing harness and the stock belts in. I'm looking to do something similar however my car is my daily so i'd rather use the stock belts most of the time. Do they work ok with the seats? My other question is what do you do about the other parts of the harness if you're using the stock belts? How do you keep them in place? Wouldn't they be a pain banging around during spirited driving?

The stock belts work just fine with those seats. I put the lap belts on the floor, the sub belt under the seat, and just hang the shoulder belts. I guess they probably hit stuff but it doesn't bother me.

I do the same. The sub belt goes through the hole in the bottom and the lap belts sit on the floor. The shoulder belts just hang and they bang around a little sometimes but it's not too bad. I use the stock belts on the street; the only "problem" is that the latch is a pain in the ass to get to. It's worth it though. After you drive with the 6 point harness, a hans, and these seats, you'll wonder why it wasn't your first mod. I tell ya though, you'll be wishing for a removable steering wheel. haha I also recommend only getting a slider for the driver side unless you care if the passenger seat sits lower than the drivers side.
