any good websites? i like to get my stuff new... man its gonna take a while to get used to these american brands. and what is O/R? and CMPDs and UDPs? this will be my DD too but i want it to be freakin loud. it is a mussel car after all

and as for keeping it stock for a while.. I want to mod it because my Si runs a faster 1/4 miles then a stock mustang and i dont know how this forum is with street racing but i beat a GT conv't with mods. he wouldnt tell me what he had done to it but after seeing how mustang owners work im hoping he only had an axle back lol.

btw my SI's best time was a 13.9

AmericanMuscle.com is a pretty good site. Also, vendors on here usually have pretty good deals too.
Charge motion delete plates=CDMP. Deletes butterflies in between intake manifold and cylinders heads to allow more airflow.
Underdrive pullies=UDP's. Lightwight pullies for less rotating mass on motor.

What year was this GT you beat? If your best is a 13.9 I'm sure the guy didn't know how to drive. S197's can run 13.5's stock...

That's what those are. Similar to what most RSX guys call Test Pipes

yeah lol i understand. no cats. in the honda world, if you have a cat delete (test pipe, O/R) your 2nd O2 sensor throws a CEL. does this happen with the mustangs? like on my header i have a defouler so it doesnt have a CEL and the car doesnt go into limp mode. also if the car is tuned, you can turn off the 2nd O2 sensor. im guessing the mustang is the same about the tuning and the O2 sensors... :helpme:

Thats what the tune is for. It cuts off the rear o2 sensor as to not throw a CEL among many other things. :thumb2:

I would get the intake and tune first, and then get the mid pipe. Most tuners will write a revised tune for parts you purchase from them at no cost to you. You'll notice the biggest difference with the intake and tune for a first mod.

On another note to confuse you even more. I decided to go with a prochamber rather than an X-pipe.

ha yes you did confuse me more. now im guessing a prochamber is some sort of mid pipe because a now know that an x/h pipe are mid pipes. i just want a all round cat-back from a good company after the intake. wow this is a different world! so whats the company to buy from in this mustang world? and a website would be nice too lol :thanks1:

Take your pick on that one. There are tons of great reputable companies to buy from out there. Its hard to pick. There are a few cat backs out there, but many people create a decent combo of mid pipe and axle back.

Welcome, It's funny that your from 8thcivic.com because I check that site out too. Some of the people there have good jokes. I work graveyard so most of the time Im on this site or other ones checking out other cars (info., 1/4 times, people's thoughts of their cars, etc.) I also came from a honda and when you get your mustang I'm just gonna say "Welcome to Torque." Get used to your car first and then go with a Cold air and tune. Oh and what I did to make getting used to my '05 funner is go to any muffler shop and tell them to put some Flowmaster 40 series exhaust. Cost me $150 and way cheaper than what I've seen online.

Hell you can get get a used one with decent mileage around $15-18K... Oh wait you did mention you were picky.... You should throw that out the window because your still gonna mod it lol. It'll be like what happened to me with my CB7(91 Accord). Still in the process of swapping an H22 since 2005 lol. Once you get the mustang it'll be your first priority and your civic will just be left alone.

yes very true and an H22? damn why not an F22 (s2000 motor) more potential there then the H22. and about the mustang i just want a white, red or black in 5 speed with leather and with the cluster on the dash with the screen under the speedo that has all the info in it. do u know what i mean by that? and maybe heated seats lol

You should get a California Special with the IUP. But don't get it in white. There are too many of those floating around here already.:roflmao:

thats funny because i looked at a black CS the other day and man was it sick. i love the body kit on it and just everything. i didnt like how it didnt have the silver GT on the side and with the black, you wouldnt even see the striping that comes with the CS

Thats trivial though. On 07s and 08s the stripes were black. On 09s there was an option for white. I like the look of the black stripes on the black car. It looks like a ghost stripe.

People will know its a GT when you step on it with the exhaust work you have done.

That and the fact V6ers sound like 350zs with exhaust work. (Don't be fooled though. There are some stoutly built 6 bangers that would put some people here to shame.)
