Love the wheels. But what is the prep before the opticoat goes on? Do they rough up the car or anything prior? You stated it doesn't wear off so how does it stay on? But car looks really great.

The prep is the key, and there is a lot involved. Basically they try to get the paint as close to perfect before applying the opti-coat since it's "permanent" otherwise you will be sealing in swirls and scratches.The detailer spent 15 hours on my car and it cost me $700. The Optimum Opti-guard (also called Opti-coat) is supposed to be "permanent" you can google it for more info Here is the thread the detailer (Bryan aka Mr. Sparkle) posted on autogeekonline.net. He is an authorized Opti-Guard installer so he used the professional grade stuff.
