I have been running 26" 275/50/15 MT DR's for last couple of years..(stock 3v motor with airaid race cai, steeda udp's, o/r x with pypes mid muffler setup). with the stock 3.55's my PB is 12.91 @106....now since then I swapped to 4.10's..my ET and MPH have dropped with the extra shift...still running the same 26" DR's.....averaging 13.2's at 103 or less.......now would stepping up to 28" 275/60/15 help or hurt? I know it will take away from the 4.10's...but it ran better with the 3.55's and winding out 3rd across the line.

Yes, step up in tire size. The 28" tires will also give you a larger contact patch so your launches should be better. The gears hurt more than they helped so you need to gain some of that gear back and eliminate the last shift.

so instead of posting the question, you post a link to the thread. and you say it in a way that seems as if youre not happy with the answer.

These guys are spot on. The taller tire will drop your overall gearing and so you can wind out the quarter in third gear. If you had automatic and a convertor you would have seen an improvement likely. The height of your tires actually has more effect for traction and contact patch at launch due to the larger circumference. That's how you see these crazy times on 235, 275 width tires they are 28,29" tall.

Wow... I said that I posted on here and on the FB page "at the same time"....not after guys started answering and posting on here....some of the people on the FB never use the forum here. Just trying to get the question out there to more people.
