This is particualrly handy for those of you with a cage, and who use a harness at the track instead of the factory seatbelts. In my case, it seemed like the seat belt alarm beeper would always go on just as I was trying to concentrate staging the car.

The following procedure sounds strange, but it worked for me.

1) Car off, all belts unbuckled, parking brake on
2) Turn key to on position. you will see seat belt warning light light up red
3) After 1 min, light will go off, now you must buckle and then unbuckle seatbelt you want to disable warning for 9 times exactly and finish doing this within 50 seconds of the light going off
4) Airbag light will go on for 3 seconds or so
5) After it goes off, buckle then unbuckle seatbelt again 1 time
6) Light will flash, seatbelt warning disabled.

One time shot. I disabled mine last summer, and never had to do it again. Even after having the battery disconnected for over a week.

I just tried it on the company F150 and it worked there too. Now, since this is a company truck, how would one go about turning it back on?

And where do you find info like this?????

hahahah... I don't know. You're screwed.

I originally heard about it from Enitalp... not sure where he got the info from.

Secret :zipped: ;p

Repeat process to re-enable.
And you can also do this for passenger side but you MUST do it separately. You can only do this for one belt at a time, can't do both the same time. this will permanently disable warning light until procedure is reversed.

To disabled the warning for 1 key cycle only, simply buckle then unbuckle seatbelt.

Is anyone sure that this doesn't disable the airbag?
Can't be 100% sure, but I don't get any sort of air bag warnings at all. And frankly, I'd be surprised if it did disable it. The Feds might not like it from a safety point of view if Ford allowed that to happen with a simple procedure like this.

I am positive this does not deactivate your airbags, this procedure used to be in the owners manual, I did this two my 02 mustang.

There is another mechanical way to do it....
Just go to your local FORD parts counter and ask for the FREE
Seat belt extensions for your car. the are about 8" long (thats the big fat guy seatbelts)
They are free........ you just have to sign a release form....
no more buzzing noise........ and if you are a big guy like me 6'2" 250#
the belt will no longer chaff your neck

I never drive anywhere without seatbelts... so that's not an option for me.

I still use my seat belts EVERY TIME i drive a car....
just with this method you don't have the noise right away.....
you can work on your car.... leave the door open.....or pull the car down the drive way with out the noise....
