First time at the drag strip yesterday

Went to Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI for my first track day yesterday. 2011 Mustang GT Premium 6MT with 63k on the clock and stock 235/50R18 all-season tires, 32PSI. Only mods are a BAMA 93 Race tune and FRPP axlebacks. Removed the spare tire and rear seat for the race.

Ran 6 passes with my first being a 12.9xx and my best a 12.74x @ 113. DA was around 2200 so with better air I likely would have been closer to 12.5x-12.4x.

Overall I'm very happy with how it ran. Already looking at some 15" rims and DRs for the next trip LOL. I figure if I can get my 60' times down to the 1.80 or 1.7x range, with some good air and a little luck I should be knocking on the door to 11's.

I was there too. Way too crowded yesterday. I was driving the excessively slow yet overly modified Kona blue GT.

Must have missed you! My buddy and I got there before they opened, cars 101 and 102 lol. We were out of there by about 12:30 or so, too hot & too crowded...

I sat in the stands until about 2 before I actually made a run. The non-Civic owners were getting hosed on track time.

Yup! They held a driver's meeting right around noon I want to say, and after that it kinda went downhill. My buddy and I were first in line after the meeting, and left right after.
