Took my 2007 Mustang GT/CS to the drag strip tonight. It was my first time ever to race on a drag strip, first time running the car since the Phase 1 TVS install as well. Got there late and was only able to make a couple of passes, one in the left lane and one in the right. Best pass was 8.6 @ 86mph with a 2.08 60ft. Friend of mine with a 92 Mustang ran 8.3 with his built 347 stroker motor, said he usually runs 7.8 or 7.9's when everything is working well.

Supposedly the Phase 1 TVS puts down 400ish to the tires (haven't had a chance to dyno it yet to confirm.) Keep in mind my car is also pretty heavy. I've got 2 JL Audio amps, a JL Audio Stealth box with a 13W6 in it, and a double DIN Pioneer Nav/AV unit in it. Not to mention the added weight of the supercharger install.

Help me then :)

Got some BMR LCA's, LCA relocation bracket, adjustable UCA and springs coming in. Car already has Tokico adjustable struts/shocks and BMR adjustable panhard. Running the stock size tire...Nitto 555 235/50/18 on the factory 18x8.5 bullit style wheel. Would like to run a larger tire but don't really want to buy new rims. How big can I go? 255/45? 275/40? What tire would you recommend short of going with drag radials? Oh...and phase 2 of the TVS is coming shortly as well.....

Get some MT ET streets mounted on some stock 17` rims and traction wont be an issue. Sounds like you had fun and that is the important thing.

Yup, pick up another set of track wheels and some Mickey Thompson ET Streets. I bought a set of Race Star 15" wheels (fat and skinny) but a cheap pair of 17" stock wheels will work fine as well. I suggest a 26" tall tire to match your power range.

Here's the 15"- http://www.americanmuscle.com/mickey-thompson-street-radial-275-50-15.html

Guessing the drag racing forum was cleverly hidden in plain sight and you didn't see it.
