Yup same here. I think I've had this mod the longest of anyone here (almost 3-years now) - No issues whatsoever.

In fact just drove to work in the rain, and popped my hood to show my friend my new intake cover - Engine was totally dry.

K, thats cool, but what did you do about the scoop block off cut out? Pics of that, please.
I plan on leaving it open. This is a rousch scoop it had a lip that came down from the top about 3/4 of an inch that the block off mounted to. I just trimmed this piece off.

Ahh, k. As it should be then. Despite the fact that it didnt look like the Ford scoop, my question was how did you cut it open, but that doesnt apply here. I WISH the Ford scoop was that easy.

Id still like to see a face on shot and an underside shot with it back together.

Same way the FoMoCo scoop is... I just cut it all out and mounted my mesh grille in there. It took a while of cutting and fitting before getting it perfect but it came out great.

has anyone tried putting the 10-11 scoop on the s197??? that would allow much more air since its a wider scoop, and look hella more aggresive
