Things that piss you off about car shows

I have Never had any vehicle of mine in a Show yet.

Looks like I may have to do that to see what exactly does take place.

i drive my car everyday. through rain, snow, heat and cold. i could give a fuck less what some asshole with a clipboard thinks of my car. i have two first place trophies. one was peoples choice. i dont care if i never get another. if you like my car, fine, if you dont, fine. im not here to impress you. im here to hang with my friends and maybe catch a couple of good deals from the vendors. i went to the orchard beach show last year. it is kind of like the end of the season show. i showed up with at least 25 other mustangs. and those are only the ones that are in my club. there were at least 50. out of maybe 500 cars, 150 trophies were given out. 30+ to corvettes 30+ to camaros. a bunch of others, and 3 mustangs. so that is why i could care less. at least 5 of the cars i showed up with were rare show winning cars. not one person in my club got a trophy. they were giving them to "under construction" chevys before they would give them to us

Not car show related but I hate it when the car in front of you sprays their windshield wiper fluid on their car and it flies back and gets all over my hood/windshield...

A little OT, but that reminded me of my friend turning his nozzles towards traffic and spraying those who tailgated him once he 'let them buy'. Silly anglo

Funny I read this today. I drove mine to the office today and I got sprayed not once, but twice on the same stretch of highway today. I feel like the F_CK out of them,.

The best car shows in my opinion are the pits at the race track, my kind of show... As for the MUSTARGER, What has been seen cannot be unseen! Wash this unclean thought from my mind.

The one that pissed my wife off the most was when we did a "best of class" show, she was in the convertible class with her Red V6, her car was S P O T L E S S ..... A late arrival shows up just under the wire for registration in a V8 Black Mustang thats BONE stock and looks like the thing went thru a dust storm... paint, interior, engine compartment, the whole damn car covered in a fine layer of dust. He pulls into his spot and nearly everyone knows this guy. Judging comes around and he wins (it was her and him in the 'vert class)!

What about the guys who place both hands on the nice shiny part of your fenders as they're looking into your engine bay?

That's probably my worst peeve. I hate anyone touching my paint for any reason. Especially giant oily palm prints on my fenders.

That pisses me off too, even if it isn't my car, people have no respect for other peoples shit. I like checking out a car show occasionally just to see some of the creative shit people do but I don't think I could ever enter my car for that reason and many others.

Trailer queens piss me off. We have some shows around that are good and the winners most of the time deserve it. I go but dont enter my car. I put all my money into making it go (and it does) so I really don't care that it doesnt have billet door locks or chrome strut nut covers. But we have a show around here that only a trailer queen has a chance. Friggen old fart judges with too much time and money on their hands. And not enough hot chicks. Last time I went to Daytona was hot tits and ass all over the place! And thats for BS NASCAR, tuen left, spit, turn left, spit.......Sometimes its good to be a redneck!!!!

I am no expert by any means but I had been going to car shows for about 10+ yrs. Ive seen the good ones and a lot that plain suck balls. It seems some people throw a car show together as a way to make some quick money and could really care less about the cars.
I really hate when your from out of town and not one of the local good ole boys, there is no chance in hell you are going to be judged fairly and no way you are winning anything.
I hate when modified cars show as stock or really modified cars show in mild modified, who do you think wins?
I hate it when car clubs come in and vote for "Who should win this week in our club?"
I hate when the peoples cars that are way less than show worthy get together to vote for each other, they have a shitload of trophies and your cherry car gets spanked.
Of course the people that open doors, lifts hoods, lean on it or put their dick beaters all over the paint. Kids that are not controlled, adults that are not controlled. Piss poor bathroom facilities. Assholes that do not secure their canapies, lawn chairs etc... A good wind and somebodies car is getting fucked up. Ive seen it a number of times.

Yes, the my ass dont stink, my car is special because this decal was upside down from factory people. People who get 2nd or 3rd place and get pissed and wont accept the trophy or actually toss it in the trash, Gheeesh. Some people would love to get a 2nd or 3rd place trophy.
Oh and the sleazy bastards that park the trailer down the street and drive the trailer queen a couple blocks to the show and try to pass it off as driven to the show. Well thats about it in a nut shell and I have been to many great car shows but this thread isnt for them...lol

Now I have the '05 and I only go to a very few select car shows, i.e. Ford Carlisle, some Mustang/Ford ones but now I mostly just enjoy cruising in it and looking at other peoples rides and just chilling and trying to just enjoy life.
