Best run today was 11.5, 123, 2.0 60'....no matter how hard I tried I could not get the slicks to heat hence the horrible 60's...then my alt pulley said hello to the radiator hose, caused a leak, fixed that, started the car to check for leaks and noticed the passenger side tailpipe had nothing coming out of it...sigh....looks like the high flo cat let go and clogged my exhaust....:ugh1:

Guess I have some work to do....:mad2:

LoL... Not funny about the cat clog, but Kook's has been trying to tell people how good the High Flow cats are.... I keep telling people that they blow and people keep not believing me and clogging them..

Your traps are nice man! Keep it up.

I forget who had the engine let go due to the clogged cat but I can see how it can happen...glad I did not try to make another run with the clog as that could have been bad!

Seems like the FI guys blow the cats out more than the NA guys..is that due to more air being moved?

FI guys usually run richer than a NA guy. i havent had cats on a mustang since...2001. lol even when i lived in VA. sucks having to get the hook up on those stupid inspections. FL registration FTW.

I would get rid of the cats..I welded in some resonators to quiet it a little and gave it some back pressure...Nice mph though, its moving...

Man I'd be pissed if a clogged cat blew my engine. Did they do anything for him or just tell him to pound salt?

+1 nice mph btw

Arrg, sorry to hear this.. Get any pics or videos?? Like all stated get rid of the cats. Their have been a lot of Kooks High flow failures. I do remember Boozheys thread and some others from different forums. Kooks saying the tune was too rich.

An 11.5 run with a 2.0 60' is impressive. Once you get that thing to hook and cut some 1.6-1.5 60's you're going to be in the 10's. Hope u have a roll bar in that thing! I'm shooting for a very low 11 or possibly a high 10 tomorrow and expecting to get kicked off the track. Going to try some 100 octane race fuel and Lito was kind enough to send me a revised tune to take advantage of it!

Being a private track rental the tech guys were very leniant which helped. Lots of guys running times that would have gotten them kicked off on a normal day.

My best of the day was a 11.7 at 124mph with a 1.8 60ft. Ran lots of 12.0-12.1's with 2.1-2.3sec 60 fts. Stayed on the 12psi tune, as I needed practice, which is a good thing, because i blew off a piping coupler twice at the top of 3rd gear at 12psi.
Next time hopefuly I will have the wot box working so i can launch off boost and keep boost through the shifts.
