Stop encouraging me to spend more money...

From the VMP track rental:
Run 1
60: 2.1
1/8: 7.7
MPH:96
1/4: 11.7
MPH: 123.3

Run 2
60: 2.2
1/8: 7.7
MPH: 94
1/4: 11.8
MPH: 122.6

Run 3
60: 2.0
1/8: 7.5
MPH: 95
1/4: 11.5
MPH: 123.2

Run 4:
60: 2.0
1/8: 7.5
MPH: 93.9
1/4: 11.6
MPH: 121

Run 4 is where I heard something rattling around and was the cat material heading downstream and clogging my passenger muffler.

Dropping .2 on my 60ft (2.0 to 1.8) got me .3 faster in the 1/8 (8.0 to 7.7) and .5 faster in the 1/4 (12.2 to 11.7).

A 1.8 60ft would have got you a low 11.0-11.1, and anything faster than that would have been your 10.

with those cams and a centri you really, and i mean REALLY need a TC. Youre gaining good mph from 1/8 to 1/4 your car just isnt getting it done the first half. For having a auto the 1st half should be your strong point. Get the car moving on the 1st half and your mph should be up around 127/128

I agree Greg. With the larger cams they really need a higher stall converter. I`m running the stock cam so I`m good w/ the stock converter, of course a little bigger one wouldn`t hurt w/ the stock cam. If I was to add a cam I definetly need a converter or else it will be a pig in the 60 foot. Just remember it will drive different under 45mph when driving around town before the converter locks up. I`ve done the big stall and big cam route in my TA. This time I`m doing the stock cam most likely stock converter route, run 10`s and drive like stock. So far so good. Much more enjoyable for every day, but then again maybe I`m just getting old..:helpme:
Just don`t skimp on the converter make sure to get a good one, it will drive much better than some of the cheaper models out there.
