Rejex Sealant

I've heard some chatter about Rejex Sealant online from a few people. I know a lot of Corvette owners love the stuff. I was at NAPA to get my rotors machined and what do I see? A bunch of bottles sitting on the counter of Rejex Sealant for $14.95. So I decided why not!? $15 isn't much to lose out on, no shipping, etc.

During my full detail I applied BFWD to the wheels, windows, etc. It was alright but it seemed to be gone in a matter of a few weeks on the wheels. So I did a ISO Wipedown and applied Rejex Sealant to all of the wheels. I also ended up using it on all of the windows and the front headlights.

I have to tell you guys, this stuff is no joke... We'll see how long it lasts but tonight washing the car I was very impressed. The water ran so fast off of all of the surfaces. In fact when washing the wheels I was in shock. I had to keep dipping my 'finger applicator' into the bucket to get my soap because it simply ran right off the surface. If this stuff lasts months on the wheels I'm going to be very, very impressed.

According to Rejex it's quite different than traditional sealants on the market. I guess you could consider it in between a traditional sealant like BFWD, etc and a nano coating like AQuartz. It's not intended to be used in conjunction with a carnuba according to Rejex either.

never know you could apply a sealent to windows and head lights. you just apply like you would on paint?

I'm going to have to get myself some of this stuff. The wax I've been using on my wheels is gone within a week or so. Anything to keep them clean where I'm not constantly having to detail them would be fantastic.

Will last a good bit longer than Rejex. Now don't get me wrong, I was happy with what Rejex did for me in the past.

I am a big fan of the Rejex Sealant. I've had it last up to 5-6 months on the DD before I had to apply a new coat. Every time I would wash the car in those months I could literally just spray it down with a hose and dry it off with a microfiber.

If anyone was interested in giving it a shot, I have a couple 16 oz Bottles left here in stock and we're running that extra 15% off special right now.

I also want to add that not only is it such a cost effective and super durable sealant, it can be applied to virtually any surface on your vehicle. My paint, glass, headlights, and wheels always get a treatment of rejex. When I throw Rejex on my windows, it works much better than RainX. Watching the water bead on the window when it pours here in South Florida is sometimes hypnotizing!

The only downside for more aggressive detailers is that it's not intended to be topped with a carnuba. So in the end it's limited by it's appearance. In fact applied another coat of Adams Americana to my car last night.

Do you mean aggressive sealants? Pretty much every sealant out there can be topped with a carnauba wax after the curing period. Some don't even need it, but people prefer to apply it to enhance the appearance when possible. Rejex can certainly be topped, but when the prep work is done right, you'll find that it isn't always necessary.

I recently detailed my DD and applied Rejex, and followed up with Dodo Juice Purple Haze Pro version the next day. It worked out really well for me, to each their own though.

No, I meant aggressive detailers meaning people who really go the extra distance. Of course traditional sealants can be topped with a carnuba. Of course it looks better. I won't ever apply only a sealant to any vehicle regardless.. Anyways, I can't comment on if Rejex can be topped by a carnuba but I'm going off of what Rejex and other high end detailers. A lot of guys were complaining that would happen is when it was topped the finish would become cloudy, than disappear only to come back again, and so forth.

even with plenty of prep (my car has over 60 hours of prep). Rejex is not going to make it pop like a Concours Carnauba.

Rejex is an awesome sealant for protection, but has stale looks as most sealants do. Typically rejex gets wheels and tips duty on most cars.

$15 is a good price, normally it's 20. Been using it for 2+ years. It doesn't last as long as plain'ol rainx on glass though, I did a test (1/2&1/2)
2 coats, cured per directions, is great for your DD. Looks 'plasticy' on black paint to me,
so for the GT I went to BF. Ranger and ZX2 running rejex still.

Definitely have no intention on ever using it on my paint. Just coated my the chrome caps of my breathers with it in fact.

Rejex has always been a go to wheel sealer. But as stated before AQuartz has taken that up for now.
