Did the author write that article on his IPhone? You'd think people who write words for a living might actually try to use the correct words once in a while.

Not only that, but the author, if you will, makes some wild ass assumptions and is putting out some outright incorrect information. He's an idiot.

Sorry I even posted it. Thought it might be helpful....

Yeah, when it comes to things of this nature, in the future, doing two things would really help you out.

1. Assume that the news has already been posted and then, search the forums!

2. Never, ever, post something in the Tech areas unless you personally are using tools to tear down a component and you've learned something no one else has seen before. If in doubt, post it in Mustang Chit Chat and then PM a mod to assess whether or not it should be in Tech.

You mean you can't modify your car... blow it up and have it covered by the manufacturer?
BS.

WTF !!!! Ford will void a warranty for mods ? Why ? Clearly they designed theses car to make 600 rwhp, I saw it in a magizine and I read on the internet that some shops that sell all these really cool fast parts for these cars made over 700rwhp with bolt on parts. What the hell ?

How many n/a motors with a few bolt on's and a tune have blown up in the past? Not many if any. This is an unfortunate situation for those that have had these 5.0 failures. None of us would have ever had a tune put on these cars if we thought there was a chance of the motor shitting it's #8 piston just like none of the 3 valve guys would have. This is new territory and it gets old hearing the you gotta pay to play and that everyone who had a tune put on these cars should have known better. We didn't know better because this has never really happened before on a N/A application. If the older motors reacted to tuning like these cars have it would be a different story all together. Now we all know what can happen. If my car shit's it's #8 tomorrow I'll park the car until I can have another motor built and I won't be asking Ford to pay for it.

All I was getting at is this is old news . Im not hating on 5.0 cars or there owners buy any means, they are incredible cars. It is an experimental time with these new engines and it is that way every time a new engine released . I have been there with all the diesel engines that have been released in the last several years .
I do agree that one should not have to pay to play for 25 rwhp. Its like telling a 3v guy , hey dont go past 10 psi , there were many who did and that is how we know better now. :thumb:
