This is a huge feeler, as its an unusual circumstance. I have a 2011 5.0 which has low compression in the #8 cylinder. The car still runs and drives and there isnt even a CEL on yet, but I happened to pull a plug and it looked a tad fouled to me so I took it in and a compression test was done and proved 6% low compression in the #8 cylinder.

I don't really have the time to tackle this or have/want to spend the money right now. This is a second car so at this point my life would be easier if I just sold it and replaced it next year.

The car:
11,3xx Miles
2011 Mustang GT 5.0
Grabber Blue
6 Speed Manual with 3.73 Gear Option
Base Model, Black Interior

Modifications:
NEW Roush Trak Pak Coilovers just put on the car ~500 miles ago
Track Pack Wheels/tires with plenty of life left
Magnaflow Street Cat Back Exhaust
Lethal Performance OR/X
SCT Tuner
JLT Carbon Fiber Intake
Steeda Tri-Ax Short Shifter
Barton Shifter Bracket
American Muscle White Ball Shiftknob
Bullit Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel
Upgraded Pioneer Speakers
Stangmods HID Kit
Tinted Windows
AM Black Vinyl Fender Hash Stripe (easily removable)

I have spent a lot of money on this car, and it is in great shape aside from the motor issue. Thankfully it has been caught very early so its not catastrophic.

PM Me if you are interested, as there will be a bit to talk about and we can attempt to work out a deal from there. I am not looking to dump this car for nothing so please don't bother offering any crazy lowball offers.

I love the car, it is my favorite car I have owned to date and is very fun and I am incredibly sad to make this post. Once you get the motor refreshed, it will be a great car again.

Thanks for looking,

Dan:(

If thats the case, $25k negotiable. I don't expect to get 25k this is just a number to abide by the rules. PM Me if youre interested and we will talk. Willing to sell it with any combination of the mods or stock parts as I have nearly all the stock parts available, but not all of them.

Thanks

Thanks Agent007.

Like he said, with the PCM being flashed the motor is not covered under warranty.

What does it cost to get it fixed, also where r u located wife is wanting a new car soon. Could it not be re flashed back to stock and taken in?

I will send you a PM shortly. The dealership can tell when you flash cars. The PCM stores this information along with the # of key cycles. It isn't possible for you to hide the fact that you flashed it from them.

I'm located in New York

Also, for anyone else interested in knowing - I will sell it with any combination of stock/aftermarket parts.

Heres what stock parts I do have that can be put on to lower the price.

1) Stock suspension
2) Stock Xpipe
3) Stock Intake
4) Stock Shifter and knob
5) Without Tuner
6) Without HID's

Thanks guys - and all PM's replied

I would really try to find out this the stock cars have this issue.. if you can prove it I think you can take actions people are talking about in the chit chat thread. Paying for a new engine sucks.. I know =-/

Not comfortable trading it in, PM's all replied.

Won't be saying who tuned it as I am still talking with them about it.

I have to say it is VERY noble of the OP to mention the 6% low compression in one cylinder. I know to an honorable person like the OP, there was no doubt that he should make sure the buyer was aware.

But I think that many people in this world would have sold that car and never mentioned it even if someone had said "have you done a compression check on #8"?

And who knows, that car may run for 200,000 miles like that. Or it could go next week. Same thing for all engines.

Now I wonder, if you did trade it in at a Ford dealership, when the Ford dealership sells it to the next buyer, is the warranty re-instated? Or is forever a "no Ford warranty" car? I guess it would depend on the dealership and their evaluation and what FMC tells them to do. Or isn't there other companies that provide "aftermarket" warranty coverage and don't they cover modified cars? For a higher premium, of course. But in this case it might be worth it.

Beautiful car though, GLWS!
