I use to skate in 8th and 9th grade. I graduated with Buckey Lasek also. We weren't what I'd call friends but we sat at the same lunch table and bull crapped with mutual friends. We also would end up hanging out around someone's street ramp in a tennis court every so often. He was a decent guy. Comedian comes to mind lol. Back then you knew he was way more than a good skater. I remember when he learned the Mctwist in high school. That was a very big thing back in the late 1980's. It was pretty cool seeing someone that you knew from HS on MTV's Cribs.

The killer for me was girls. I still a soft spot for skating. Can't wait to buy my boy his first when he is old enough. I'll have to buy myself one too.

Love skating. I just got back into it, it was a big part of my life from 87-92. My wrist can't quite take the constant falls like they used to, so I'm the 33 year old guy at the skatepark with the wrist guards on. lol

I have accumulated a decent deck collection in past years and it's always growing.

I used to skate years ago, I was on pro-am team and skated in a couple comps. I honestly never was that good, but placed 8th in one competition and got my name in transworld! lol yeah, I'm old and breakable now so I no longer skate, as a matter of fact. My dad was cleaning out his shed a few weeks back and pulled out a dozen or so broken boards that I had owned. He asked if I wanted to keep them.. I told him to toss them a true sign my skating days have long been gone. However, They pretty much ended with a nose grind down a hand rail that ended in a broken wrist, swollen hip, and fractured ankle. After that, I started building mustangs, never looked back.
