My friend that is a scuff that I can have out in 2 mins with a terry cloth. I'm sorry your having such problems but in my seat it looks like you rushed to install it and your shifter scuffed it.... I would not refund your money if it were me.

I notified the correct people to have the negative Itrader changed on Sherrods account. This deal was more than fair to try to help you out and along with that you said everything was good with the radio. I will be more than happy to help submit any information for the paypal claim so Sherrod gets the money back.

Next time you purchase an item on this forum you need to either keep it or reject it right away, if you reject the item notify the seller FIRST and let them know you are returning it WITHOUT installing it. It's your responsibility to pay shipping back to the seller and submit your paypal claim that way.

That picture was taken in the box 2 mins after I opened it. The radio had not even left the box. Are you saying that it was damaged on removal from sherrods car?

If the radio worked I would do something about the scratch. BUT IT DOES NOT WORK.

Just throwing in my .02. I know the seller personally and he would not scam anyone. He would not...end of story. Now, whether or not it got damaged in shipping is another question...If it was shipped with UPS - there is automatically $100 insurance added to the package. File a dispute with UPS and get the money to pay for it. Also, with any electronic purchase, anything can happen with these items. There is a reason almost every electronic item has a very strict return policy because of this very reason. A lot of people have no business trying to hook up electronics and do something wrong with installation, etc and fry the equipment then want to blame someone else. Not saying this is what happened. But, electronics are very fragile. I know from personal riding experience that this radio was working while in his car. I rode with him a couple times around town - and recently I must add.

Shouldn't of said it did work. Sorry I think you pretty much screwed your own self. I wouldnt take it back due to your tried to hook it up AFTER you already wanted a refund. I don't know if you may of plugged it in wrong or your car might have a short... who knows. Electronic items 99% of the time you install, you own them. Learn from this mistake and move on.

This is why I asked if the box was damaged. Unfortunately if the box was not damaged I'm pretty sure they will not give the shipping insurance, BUT its worth a shot and could make both parties happy.

Many have delt with sherod, not so much with you. IMO sherod "if" said scratch happened when removing it would have notified you and offered you a back out then. If you wanted insurance on the shipping pay more for it. And from what I gather you paid 70 Bucks for this right? I myself have given 300 bucks for the older SN Mach 460 6 Disk changer so I think you got a smokin deal. Especially seeing how you said you could live with scratch I feel you did it. It cant always be perfect when buying on the interwebs, but it was a "USED" not "NEW" stereo. Sorry you have had this experience here but Im in no way moved to ask sherod to refund your money. Now lets stop beating this horse

Just a little research here:

The first pic of from Sherrod. I circled a button in red. It's not REAL clear...but I don't see any damage to it in the pic he posted.

Second image is the same button that the 'buyer' just posted. It's clearly scratched.

Now the pic Sherrod has is blown up and not really clear. There's a spot there but it looks like the edge of the button not a scratch. Same shiny spot at the top edge of that button and the bottom.

yeah I caught that too. Im sure two buddies were trying to get the guy his radio, I doubt if sherod knew of a scratch he would have let it go this far. Hell he offered a refund upon return of radio. Simple thing would have been if it fits it ships....whats 10 bucks, ??

Yeah I would have gladly shipped it back for a refund of $60 I mean like you said you come out losing $10 not $60. IMO I would call shipping company and have them pay for it but I know they wont because you need a receipt showing the value of the item and without that your pretty much screwed cause its a used item.

Thanks for the close-up picture. Looks perfect to me, given the car is a 08 and has a few miles on it. The item was described as used but in perfect condition with no known faults.

Offered more than most and have done what I could to make it right. Guess I will leave it up to paypal to see what they have to say. As of now there is a dispute against my account for the amount of $70 because of all this.

Crazy to say, I have sold superchargers, rims/tires, pulleys and many many other items on here with no problems. Thousands of dollars worth of stuff to all different memebers. Never had a problem, always tried to be honest and upfront the best I could. Described the items as it was and did any and everything to keep in touch about it.

I would like to see the radio out of his car. It seems to me he may be changing out a scuffed radio with a new looking one and trying to get some money back by blaming it on shipping damage. If nothing is wrong with the radio in his car why is he changing it? Also he bought a used 2006 (nothing wrong with that) and his radio may have been scuffed when he bought it.

I really am sorry for all this bs. I hate the fact more than anything the negative itrade rating. I try to be honest about the items that I sale on here. Keep a good rep as this forum has helped me out a lot with selling items and buying items. I have meet a ton of cool people on here, some of them I had no clue lived right in my backyard. Learned a lot of things and had my questions answered on even more. I just hope some of you guys will see through the smoke and understand where I am coming from on this one. Not tring to scam any one or make a quick buck and leave, have way more invested in this forum than that.

If paypal decides to refund. I think they will make him ship the radio back. I believe that's how they operate. Also, I too call BS. Its very easy to scuff/scratch these radios.
