Been telling ya to do that. I'd rather have a slow car that you can actually drive then a car w/ a bunch of parts thrown on it that has issues.

So your back bedroom is about to have even more parts stock piled in it eh? Lol

I fried 3rd gear in the trans. I can only got WOT in 1st, 2nd and 4th. I turned the boost down to 10 PSI to try and make the trans last till I can pull it. Turbo is fine and motor is fine. I'm just going back N/A. I had ZERO problems when I was N/A, bolt-ons and cams. The motor is a low compression so it will be a turd N/A. I have the motor and trans stuff sold. I guess the turbo setup will be going up for sale here soon as well.

ever since i went FI I have been chasing the weakest link. Get old after while

You're going to regret going back instead of beefing the transmission up...

I went from Whippled 599 to na 335 and now have a centri at 475. It's just about perfect right now. NA was close but needed a little more and a centri was almost the same price as heads and longtubes so I went that route.

The prior poster has it right though, just put a 6060 in and call it good.

Been there myself. I figured I could either de-tune it and sell it. Or, modify it to the point that knowbody would want it.

Yep, everyone has been or will be there. Just let it sit until you have a clear head.

I was most happy with my 2006 when I had the 3.4 pulley on the Saleen Supercharger.
After that it just starting to be a PITA with every mod added.

That's what kinda discourages me from modding the Shelby.

just have to walk away from things for a bit every now and then.

My 67 did this to me last year. I put it in a barn for 10 months. Now I can't wait to get her back on the road and things seem to be working a lot easier for me.

It's my DD and only car. I've been paw paw diving this 600+ hp car for around 3 months. It's driving me crazy lol.

If the car buyer falls threw i will happily keep her. I was looking at a 08 C6 and was thinking CAI, cam, Exhaust and Tune would be really fun

My 67 was the reason I ever came close to selling. Twisted the drive shaft and dropped it on the dyno. Lots of carnage. It sat for 3 months before I even looked under it to see the damage.

^^^ thats what makes it really tough. Even when I street drove my car all the time, I also had another vehicle. When its your only car reliability is paramount and I think n/a would be best, or a twin screw / centri at 8 psi at most. Anything more and it will be like you said, always chasing the weakest link, and your car down a lot of the time.
