My 67 was the reason I ever came close to selling. Twisted the drive shaft and dropped it on the dyno. Lots of carnage. It sat for 3 months before I even looked under it to see the damage.

I feel your pain.. lol :beerchug2:

when you bleed sweat and put your time into something just for it to slap you in the face... it's hard to not just roll it right in the middle of the street and say have a nice life. hahaaa.

I'm with the other members. Drop a 6060 in it and you should be good to go. I know that's easy for me to say because the money is not coming out of my pocket. Just think...paying tax, title, and licence on another car, you paid about 1/2 of the 6060 swap. Then there's about $10k more for the upgraded new/used car.

This is why I went with a centri.Trying to be boosted but keep as much of the stress down on the powertrain as possible.

So a centri is the easiest on your motor? Im looking to going FI soon, and I don't wanna have any of these problems so I'm doing a lot of research before I pull the trigger.

it doesnt have the "hit" that say, nitrous or a pd blower would have...the power comes on linear, with rpm. because theyre "soft" down low a lot of people have gone pd blower because they like that nice torque hit down low that roasts the tires so good. not that you cant roast tires with a centrifugal :)

From what I have seen they are easier at low boost than turbos or ts type blowers.Like stated above they dont have that full on boost hit at once that the others do.The general answer to being safe and not breaking driveline parts as regularly seems to be a centri at low boost,8-10 lbs. and a really good tune.

I have been in the same boat but always had another car. I started buying piece by piece until I had everything, and then threw it together. I still come across minor issues when she does get driven.
