I don't know much about it and many people on here act like they do so they try and bash these companies. If you don't like a specific place, go elsewhere.

You were doing OK until the last sentence. Please elaborate.

Exactly what it says. I'm not a subject matter expert on tuning, there are very few individuals who are but many people, not only on this site, but other sites act like they know what they're talking about. With that being said, people feel they have an open door to bash companies who tune.

What do you mean by me doing "OK"? Please elaborate.

I am regarding calling folks out who don't know what they are talking about. Just wondering if you had someone specific in mind. It isn't fair to lump everyone who doesn't like a vendor's tune in the same bucket. Some have experience or knowledge of said vendors tunes that drive they way they feel. I think you explained it above and agree there are some just out to justify their purchased tune/decision over someone else's without really knowing what they are talking about. ;)

So you could not explain that in the linked thread????? Everyone thinks you have a #8 failure and need a new engine….Then you have a buddy who has a #8 failure who could not post for over a week????? Sorry bro I think you owe an apology to everyone here..... They don't owe you SHIT..... You have ZERO credibility after that lame thread you started.... AND NEVER FINISHED!!!!!!

WTF do I have to apologize for??? lol
I thought I had a problem, I didn't so thats thats.
My buddy DID have a problem, posted EVERYTHING you guys asked for and you still don't believe it...I dont get it. Stop sack riding the mustang and Ford. Yes its a great car but get over it man, It has some problems boo hoo. Except it and move on. In the end there is Still 2011 5.0 in my garage so what's the big deal.

You guys are the reason I have a bad name in my area. Everyone looks at a mustang and its owner and assumes they are the most arrogant douche bag M F'er's on the planet...

Seer, what about when it was actually Doug who was tuning at Bamachips?

He was in great standings for a long time before a couple hiccups and eventually "partnering with/selling to" AM.

the file that I have of theirs that I've looked at in depth is under their current regime. It looks a lot like another shops just not as lean.

I don't have any experience with dougs tuning. From second hand experience though the talent went away with Doug

I know I am taking this even farther away from the topic, but have you ever used a Steeda tune?

Sorry, no one specific just generally speaking. I'm sure you are aware, people tend to jump the gun when bashing a company who tunes.

sorry to come in this thread and sound like a noob but could you please fill me on what the real risk of any tune on the 5.0s is. I have def read up on the scenarios with the #8 cylinder from this thread but to my brother and I are really discouraged to find that at the risk of popping the engine for a 60hp tune.

if once the car has been flashed the dealership will def know there was a tune. is there no way to clear the pcm??

The risk is slim to non. The problem is NOT the tune. It was Ford, They had some bad motors and the tunes only made the inevitable happen sooner.

Yes they can tell. No you can't clear it.

That IMO is speculation. I have yet to see anything conclusive as to the causation of the #8 issues.

If you can link a source to support your post please do so.
