Don't use a gas powered one. Electric only.

spray fumes on the car, and some gas blowers spit out gas.

Don't get me wrong, you car probably has a ton of gas fumes spitting on it when in traffic etc, but I don't think you want to spit fumes etc on a freshly washed car.
