I had A BBR tune once for my cams an headers. Gave them 3 try's and it sucked balls. I called up American muscle and literally 10 minutes later I get their tune and it's spot on. Also, Liz is a bitch.

It sounds to me like the guy is saying if you have a bad experience with a person or vendor you should keep quiet and no matter what your out just stay quiet so others get shafted as well. I found this website and fell in love with the knowledge I could gain from it. Everyone has always been helpful on here. I talke to steve several times on the phone about this situation for about 4 days actually. Everytime I talke to him he said the same thing. I will call you later today or early tomorrow and let you know about getting you a refund. He would never call me back only email me if I emailed him. He sounds like a nice guy over the phone and again sometimes the nice guys are the ones you should look out for. I had purchased stuff from them before and everything was fine I received whatever product I had ordered. When I talked to steve what made me do the tune was the fact that he said there would be no issues and I could simply download and enjoy. Not only did that not happen the notes for the tune were incorrect all together why were they wrong? After starting this thread I see that I am not the only one thats been shafted. If you run a good business you would never see a thread like this because the vendor would make it right so it doesnt happen. We have a policy on our windshields for harleys clearly stated that we sell. If you remove the plastic and install it on your bike no exhanges and no refunds. Why because the bottom gets scratched up when it gets installed we cant sell it as new. With that policy in place one out of 50 people that buy a windshield decide they want a different size or color. We bring up the policy they always say yeah I was aware of it but was just hoping you might be willing to do something. We say if thats what it takes send it back and we will exchange it for you free of charge. Guess what we now have to sell that same windshield as used for about half of what we pay for it. We make $6 off the windshields we sell. We take a $60 negative hit on the one we resell. Why becuase that guy will come back everytime he needs something he will tell all his friends in the process. We sell power commanders and preprogram them for free for the buyer. We also give a coupon for a free dyno run to prove how good our tunes are.

LOL...you guys want to know why Dillon Dollar is all over BBR's nuts? Look who did all his "work" after Steve sold him a Vortech that had been over spun to the moon and Dillon is not smart enough to realize BBR fucked him over...

Actually they helped make that right with me and that was a private transaction between Steve and i... In not nut swingin and wasent defendin anyone because its obvious threads like this anyone thay defends anything wears a flame suite... All I was saying is that I was just tired of threads like these, I never once put myself in the argument over what happened because I'm not directly involved so its not really my business.

I only see others saying the same thing happened to them. If there are this many people on this single forum that have been done this way I am surprised that they are still a vendor on here. Especially after one of the mods was a victim.

I'll be brief. About a year ago I bought 2 tunes from BBR. The first was for a very basic set of bolt ons. The second was to be identical to the first, but with the rear O2's turned on so I could swap my stock H pipe on and get it inspected. I failed inspection several months later because both tunes had the rear O2's turned off.

I emailed and asked for a revision to tune 2 so I could get inspected - just the tune I'd originally asked for. All I got was a series of questions from Liz asking "why do you want to turn on your rear O2's" and "why are you switching H pipes". Eight or ten emails and two months later, I never got my revised tune. This wasn't a blown application or injector issue - this was simply clicking a check box and sending an email.

I recently purchased nearly $3k in parts for my new GT500 and purposely avoided spending a single dollar at BBR for this very reason. I will not spend my hard earned money with a vendor who gives me bad service. BBR - are you listening?

Dillon I'm glad they made it right for you. I really am. I have a problem with what is quoted above. If no one speaks up, how do the masses know who is good an who is bad? It appears everyone here has tried a tune from them and ended up with going elsewhere. By that comment above we should be quiet and not say anything. Your a consumer and its your hard earned money, its always your business.

Liz told me I needed Manley Nextec springs (they are only good to .5 lift). This was after John had agreed to a price on 26113 and retainers. All I was trying to do was order them. She wouldn't stop and wouldn't let me order what I needed. At that moment I decided as long as she was answering phones I'd never call them again.

I did order a set of billet lcas from them via internet. Those are a good product at a low price. Everything with the internet transaction went smooth.

Not taking sides here, but you guys are putting 100% blame on Steve and you shouldnt.

A. He is not the owner and Im sure he is being told what to say to try and remedy this issue

B. Steve doesnt write tunes for cars, why dont you guys hold accountable ethe actual person writing the damned tunes? Again, I am staying nuetral here even though Steve is a friend of mine. But you guys should be placing the blame towards the ownership of BBR. And FWIW, dont try and take the cheap ass route with a blower/turbo car. Get a custom dyno tune for it for Christ's sake. A good pro blower tune should easily cost $350-$500 for a proffessional to do it the right way and not "nail the tune down" after 2 god damned pulls on the dyno..I will never in a million years understand how people will spend thousands of dollars on parts, but then turn around and get cheap on the most important thing, the tune..:horseshit:

Really hate to hear this. Bbr did my tune for my jlt2, Mac axle backs, and frpp hotrods. At first I had extreme idle issues, car would surge and hunt for idle and die. They sent me a new tune same result as above, then data logged it, tune did get better, no major surging or hunting, no dying. It does every now and then surge while slowing down with the clutch pushed in. So I guess my tune needs work still???

Steedman, you bring up some good points, but not everyone has access to a dyno, much less a tuner that knows a damn about these cars. The closest tuner to me that I would consider somewhat competent is Dynospeed in Memphis. It just isn't feasible or practical to drive two hours for a dyno tune, or trailer the car there, when such good results CAN be achieved remotely.

For what its worth i had bbr tune my car a few years ago- p1 12 pounds, lts, meth, gears. basic stuff really. took a few tunes but it ran pretty decent. i always figured it would run better with a dyno tune but the a/f was good and it ran good so i wasnt that worried about it.

on a side note, why is everyone hating mail tunes with blowers all of a sudden? There are tons of people on here with blowers and lund/ lito tunes that are fine. Just asking as im planning to have lito or a local guy tune my car and the guy who tunes locally tunes on the street dataloging- basically how lund/ lito do just doing the logs himself.

And yet after 6 pages of this thread, they have only responded once. Does that show how much they dont care? You would think by the OP making this public that bbr would void there policy and just step up and give the guy his refund. Giving him his refund would show people that they can make things right. I just read all 6 pages and I actually have a BBR tune in my car as we speak. Liz is a bitch, she was very short with me in the phone after I called numerous times in two days to receive a simple tune for my cams.

I don't see anyone hear putting 100% blame on Steve. However in my opinion both Steve and John are killing BBR's reputation by coming on these forums and giving out false and misleading information. Then when they get called out on it they just dissapear from the thread. Just like the bullshit thread they started about the guy driving from Alaska to get work done on his car at BBR. I think Chris needs to get his head out of his ass and take a more proactive roll in his business before it's too late.

I would drive 10 hours if I had to for a pro tune, especially if I had a built motor, which I dont..

Not hating on tuning remotely. I am just a fan of a dyno tune thats all. Nothing new, that has been the general opinion of the masses for years. Although, Kyle, Fordracer666, tunes his car like that and he has had some pretty damn good tunes for his blower/turbo car. But this situation is a little different I think..

The tuner I want to use is 12.5 hours away, you act like its no big deal but to take off work, trailer the car and the other expenses with that trip will be a lot more than you are talking. The other thing is,I had a dyno tune along with over a hundred miles of street tuning from a vendor on here that people swear by and the cold starts were still a big issue.

I had the same problem, there are no nearby tuners like Chiron said. Lito is doing my tune remotely and I couldn't be happier with it. As long as you have a wideband and give the tuner good feedback it can be perfect in a remote tune.
