2012 5.0 Smokes

Looks like the Gt500 pcv is working. I didn't have smoke yesterday or today. Im praying this takes care of the problem.

Come by and visit. White Superduty crewcab, white trailer, white 2011 which is car #2011. If no one is around and the trailer generator is running, come knock on the door, we might just be staying in the A/C.

Keith, honestly i dont know the differences. After some research i found that others had the same issue as me and went to the Gt500 pcv. For $20 i thought it was worth a try. If it works great if not im out a meal lol.

2nd week in a row it sat. And no Fucking smoke at startup or cruise. About damn time I have some good luck. Oh and the car is running great. I guess since its not burning oil now its actually getting a complete burn, I guess that's how id put it.

I don't mean to be a dick but wow ALL that over a bad PCV valve? The sky is falling, ford engineering is bullshit, coyotes are all time bombs, blah blah blah blah.....for a bad pcv valve?

I know it wasn't just you being upset about it, and I know I would have probably been a total crybaby bitch if my car was smoking like that. I just feel like a few people dropped the ball if this kinda 18 page thread and all the back and forth is what happens when a car has something so simple wrong with it. I'm mostly blaming your dealer for not being able to diagnose this, maybe its harder than I think.

The real point of my post is that I am THRILLED that's all that was wrong with your car. I'm sorry that it was such an ordeal to figure it out, and I hope you can enjoy the shit out of your awesome car, because it is quite a machine.

This has just made me reevaluate how much stock I put into what I read on forums, which should have been under scrutiny all along.

Just an FYI but the 2013's use 5W-50!!!!!

I would at least switch to 5W-30 at a minimum for your car!!!!!

5W 50? I guess what they say about the reason Ford says use 5W 20 for CAFE reasons is true. What could be so different in the 2013's to require 5W 50? This just makes me confused as hell.....

I'm hoping that's all that is wrong with my car. The real test will be when I drive it everyday. Then and only then will I believe I had a bad pcv. If it starts smoking again than I know for sure it has other problems. For now im going to enjoy it. Btw I still think ford and its engineers suck.

You do know Ford engineering was involved during this correct? You do know his dealership contacted FORD ENGINEERING CORRECT? And they never mentioned to replace the PCV? So ya Ford engineering sucks.......
