Couldn't find this exactly so sorry if it's been answered before.

Are the TPMS sensors in the 2009 in the valve stems or on a band around the wheel? I see AmericanMuscle sells the valve stem TPMS sensors for the 07-09 GT, are those the right ones or do I need the band ones?

Also, if I have the band sensors but not the bands, will the tire mounting shop supply the bands as part of the stupid TPMS fee?

09 should be bands.... You can get the valve stem ones from AM and they will reset fine. A lot of valve stem sensors now are programmable. We use mostly programmable ones at work now.

So if I get a set of the band sensors, are they programmable too or? I was gonna grab the sensors from a forum member and just buy the calibration/training tool from AM.

Bands are what came stock. You can get the valve stems though. I have them on my 08. Just need to get the wheels rebalanced if you are replacing bands.

Stock they are bands. The AM valve stem ones are aftermarket ones that work just the same as your stockers. I have an 09 and have my stock band sensors in my stock wheels and the AM valve stem sensors in my aftermarket wheels, I can't tell any difference between the two.

Call your shop and see if they would supply bands....

Well they will work for 07-09 . But yes you should be able to reset them to your vech. But see what year they are from, being that they are battery operated and yes the batteries die . Some times after 2years but have seen some last 10years

So if you got new wheels and wanted to keep the same TMPS sensors in the stock wheels you would need new ones. Do you also need the tool to set them?

That's actually not a bad deal . We sell them for 60-70 each for the sensor
