Yeah, some days that are nice during the winter I want to take it for a spin, I just call the insurance company and let them know I am taking a hot lap around town, and they just tell me only to drive it that one day. Even when I had my loan out on my 96 mustang I had to ask the bank if I could put storage on it, they were cool with it since storage covered it and I wouldn't be driving, sometimes just have to talk to them!

I have suspended the comprehensive insurance during the winter months which definately lowers the premium. It stinks paying as much as we have for our cars and only enjoying them on nice days.

I do the same thing as Silverrider and remove the collision coverage when the car is parked over the winter. And all it takes is an email to my agent if I want to take out for a nice day.

This will be my first Chicago winter driving the stang. I have a winter setup with Blizzaks. Hopefully we will have another mild winter like last year.

I drove a '98 GT with 4 studded snow tires for 7 Upstate NY winters. With the proper tires it was unstoppable.

It kills me when people talk about concerns of driving rear wheel drive cars in the winter. I mean what did EVERYONE do before FWD became so common? They drove RWD cares in the winter. You adjust your driving style and run proper tires. Easy.

Im confident I can drive it through the snow....Its the 50+ mile round trip everyday that im wondering if it will get annoying driving everyday that long.

You mean you suspend liability, suspending comp would be bad if something where to happen ie fire, theft etc.

I drive mine in the winter. Firestone winterforce tires mounted on some 17 inch bullit wheels do the trick

I run blizzaks on my stock brembo wheels. Zero problems. The car is very surefooted, and the heated seats do the trick daily. I don't have a long commute, but its a very twisty 2 lane parkway that gets plowed last.

Well I have weighed my options and decided to keep my stang as nice weather only and keep the eco friendly car for the 50+ mile daily commute. Maybe one day I'll say screw gas prices and buy another mustang to do the daily duty. Thanks for all the responses.

I drive mine in winter. Just put the stock rims on with Blizzaks and it's great. Just baby it and don't drive like an asshole and you'll be fine. I live in Ohio too
