I didn't fair too well in the Mustang vs Camaro day...I ended up getting lined up against my neighbor first round when they shuffeled the cars up..I wasn't sure what to dial my car at since my first time shot I went 10.669 and on my second run I must have spun a little or had high IAT's and went a 10.91 so I dialed a 10.90.
Right at the launch I knew I was on track for another 10.6x-10.7x run so I had to ride the brakes from the 1/8 mile on....I treed my friend but ended up braking too hard and lost by .005 at the stripe. At least my neighbor who I lost to was the runner up in the drag radial/slick class so I'm not upset to have lost to him.
I have in car video from my cell phone of my 10.669 and new best 10.658 runs and figured I would share. I'm out of gear crossing the line so if I had 3.90 or 3.73 gears in the car I probably would have gone a little faster.
This is the 10.669 run...had a 1.476 60' on this one.
And here is the 10.658 run with a 1.467 60'. My friends told me I had close to a foot of air under the front tires on one of the runs.
