It wasn't a vacuum leak. I'm using the wrong term. It was unmetered air getting in somehow.

Installed my new alternator this weekend. Also relocated an idler pulley that was in the wrong place, added a Roush belt tensioner to keep the belt tight, and changed the oil to some fresh Amsoil 5w30.

Yeah. I was already planning on going back for a retune because of the throttle body issue they had. Wanted to give Sean another crack at that 475 hp I want.

Taxman, If you don't mind me switchin gears here a bit. I was wondering did you use the Steeda carbon fiber dash kit in your car? how is the fitment and overall look? SInce I just purchased some I was hoping it doesn't look too bulky or fake, it was suggested that I go with the hydro carbon from JLT, but that stuff is really expensive, like 5 times the cost. I think yours look nice in the photo, but was wondering hoe it represents in person. Thanks for your feed back

No it's just the overlay they sell at American Muscle. It looks pretty good in person. I'm not unhappy with it.

What kind of electrical issue were, or are you having? I seem to be going through at least one alternator per year...

Not sure why but may have been caused by a slipping belt but I had a code (I don't remember it now) and I replaced my alternator, added an upgraded wiring package, and swapped my stock tensioner for a Roush tensioner and that solved the issue.

How is the powdercoating holding up on the blower? I have always wanted to have mine done but every post I see about it says to not coat the gear housing.
