Hahah yup!! That's crazy right?? I searched for my boy that wants to fit them to his 2011 zx10.. Glad I haven't scratched them when I put new tires n :).

Bike looks great dude, same with the car ;). Damn that's some insane gearing! -1/+5 on a 1000cc. I did -1/+2 on my old 600 and it wheelied so much. Haven't tried those tires, I've run Dunlop Q2s, Dunlop Qualifier IIs, Michelin Pilot Power 2CT, Michelin Pilot Road 3s(current). Love them so far.

Thanks man,I loved that 600 but out grew it very quick. My new 1000 fits way better. Thing hauls ass! I do miss my 600 at times, it just was so sexy hah, and in 1/8th mile I beat up tons of 1000cc bikes..

Updates.. Forgot about this thread.

As many people know i have been trying to fit my old ram mount from my 06 600rr but the diameter of the stem hole is 23.95 on the new 1krr.. The install kit is from 12mm-20mm and then jumps to 28mm. I bought it and out came the sand paper, Exacto Knife and a lot blood haha. I slipped when i was cutting and sliced my finger open. O well, it is all done and sturdy as hell! What a tight fit =).

Here is the old mounting kit from my 600rr.. WAY smaller

My buddy gave me his DRIFT HD170 to use for when I'm riding the bike or sliding/racing the stang. This thing is pretty sweet! Anyhow I mounted it up quick on the side (unfortunately its been raining for 2 weeks straight and haven't gotten to get out and make some footage.) I thought to myself, I wonder how to mount it on the gas tank area besides the suction cup, then I realized it may just attach to my RAM stem mount I use for my iPhone 4s. It holds it perfectly! Pretty excited for the weather to clear up!

Filled up my tires, cleaned/lubed chain and sprocket, cleaned bike and rims to remove all the bugs and grease. Bike looks spotless now :). Finally tomorrow is my day off and I get to really ride her and hopefully put on my grips and rim tape lol..

After 4,000 miles on the OEM Qualifier IIs, I needed new rubber. Received them today ;), they will be on the bike Thursday.

Mounted/balanced my new tires. They feel great so far!! Can't wait to really rip on them. Decided to be different and change up my idea of red rim tape to be :)

I wish i could really drift, i mean i can slide it quite a bit- but thats as good as it gets lol.. Here is a shitty clip =p

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVIMO30Zw6w

Then a lil ride on the bike, unforunately where it was mounted- it picked up some annoying noise, i found a way to get a more true sound out of it.. Stupid camera =/.

I NEVER WENT WIDE OPEN OR TO REDLINE SINCE IT RAINED BEFORE I TOOK IT OUT FOR A SPIN.

Thanks! Keep on pushin bro! I'm lucky my girl loves to ride, hell we are lookin for a 07-08 cbr600rr for her. She grew up with mini Dirtbikes.

On another note, how are you and the stang? I think the last time I seen you n talked with you was at Orlando speed world when we raced. Are you still on SF? I have been out of the mustang game for so damn long. Sure I still have mine, but I haven't been on the sf forum for Atleast a year. I haven't modded mine, n Barely driven mine.

That's great man, glad you found yourself a good one. Trust me I am still trying...but considering the other toys we have I really can't complain much at all...

..but I am well , and the stang hasn't been started in 6 months now (since mid march) and i'm trying to get bit by the bug again, but the boat has had my interest lately especially when i'm not stuck at work, as well as several projects around the house. I'm finally back on a "normal" work schedule so hopefully i'll get the car up and running soon. I have quite a few parts for it but most of them probably won't go on until next year at the earliest. I'm in no hurry since I've pretty much decided the car isn't going anywhere. I figure it'll be there when i'm ready.

I just started to pop in on SF again but i'm not on there often.

How about yourself? Life seems to be treating you well..

Jesus, 6months?? Damn what did you buy? Glad to hear its staying.. I haven't been on SF in well over a year, closer to two.. Gotta pay n get back on. Been way too busy though..

I've been great, stupid busy with my Radiography Program at FHCHS and working clinicals in surgery at Florida Hospital, started a new job on the weekends as a server at an Italian place.. Been consumed by all that, and the time I have to relax I spend with my girl. She wants to go to the track one day- so we should all meet up and go race some time. I haven't ran in years.

love it the 2012! just sold my 08 1krr to get my 5.0. Test drove the 2012 and would have got it but insurance was more than twice as much as the 08 for some reason. Ride safe and keep the shiny side up!

here is a pic of my old 08

Damn, you are on the forums right? I swear I have seen this and another picture from this photoshoot.. 1000rr.net right? Congrats on the new 5.0 bro. Really, 2x the price for insurance? What company/what coverage w/ what deductible and how old are you?

I have state farm for just my bike, full coverage, $1000 deductible at the age of 24 and a clean record. It was $180 a month for insurance but after 7-8 months of it, it has dropped to $66 a month for the same coverage ;).

yea I was, havent been back on since I sold it, makes me too sad lol. All of the ones I called were at least $200 for the same as what you have, 24yo even lol. I didnt have the cash for the bike payment PLUS another $200 for insurance every month. Glad I didnt get a new one as I would have been way upside down when I sold it. Ill get another bike eventually, prolly a cruiser this time around so my wife can ride with me and be more comfortable. I will always miss the fun of the turns in a sportbike tho

:wtf: that's so expensive. Sorry it didn't work out bro, I guess I got lucky.. I don't blame you for trading it in for a 5.0... I've thought about selling my 06 s197 gt and my new 1000rr but realized it wasn't doable or smart. My mustang is paid for as of over a year ago and the bike is too much fun. I like having two forms of transportation.
