How well do these cars hang with the LSX powered vehicles?

Also there was a turbo LS1 on slicks that only ran 7.60s in the 1/8 (street car). I have a buddy with a 2v on spray (stock motor) that runs constant 7.30's.

the auto LS-1's are kinda doggy. they come with 2.73 gears from the factory. a set of 3.42's out of a manual car wakes them up some, but the 6 speed LS car are definately capable of high 12's stock with good air (living on the coast) and traction.

when the 05 mustangs came out a lot of people around here had trans-ams and were regularly beating 3 valves. stock for stock manual cars. after you start modding them its a toss up about who has more money. they weigh about the same and the WS6's and SS's were rated around 320hp, so a 20 horse advantage from the factory.

:roflmao: ls1tech awaits you. You're comparing apples to peaches. A zo6 isn't in the same category as a Mustang. Now, compare a GT500 to a zo6 and see what happens :thumb:

06 z06>07 gt500 all day. Weight advantage and aerodynamics substitute the 60hp less from factory

04 z06>04 cobra, more power, lighter, and aerodynamics.

10 zr1>13 gt500, less power but much lighter and of course, aerodynamics ;)

My 2008 bullitt with 3.73 long tubes no cat h pipe, under drive pulleys and a tune would out run the 5.7 liter goat with long tubes and intake and barely get beat by a 6.0 with exhaust

Agreed.. only way I was able to defeat C6 Z06's when I was stock was to switch to drag radials, then I was able to beat them at the track without adding power.

I have to tell you, IMO from track experience, stock for stock the 4.6 is kinda doggy compared to the LS cars. However, mod for mod, our 4.6's wake up a lot faster with less mods and cheaper.

The cool part is, a full bolt-ons 4.6L GT with track tires will beat a stock C6 in the qrt all day and stick to its ass on the closed course track with a good driver for less than the price of the C6.

If an LS1 without a bottle or power adder was able to hang with a 5.0 there is a SERIOUS need for a driver mod. A buddy of mine KILLS LS1's all day long in his stock '13 5.0. He kills them so bad he quit wasting his gas on them.:roflmao: LOL!!!!
