Because it feels like about 45-50 :boobies:
Should of did this years ago, less ass squat and the car just kicks you in the back on acceleration! feels like tons of grip too  i'ma bust a nut!
BMR makes some mighty fine brackets, no issues with fitment and they are chunky bastards.

I was a little intimidated by the angle at first, I thought for sure I was going to put it in the top hole after seeing how it felt in the middle. but I think I am sticking with it, not too bad in the turns like I thought it would be, definitely fine for DD

Because racecar.
Anyone think this is too much angle? stock ride height.
Can't wait to see the difference on the track!
I may try the top hole, but I feel weird leaving like 3 inches of empty bracket lol.

The added horsepower comes from who's brand you're using and how much you paid for them. The more you spend the more power they add. Those look like Fleabay ones so you may not pick up more than the 200rwhp you started with.:omfg: :helpme:

Keep shopping. Lol

From what I have read, once the car is on the ground you want the LCA to be horizontal to the ground and since it looks like your car is still in the air you would have to drop it to find the best spot.

^he has the car supported by the axles, it looks like, wouldn't that mimic ground level?

I'm no expert, but to me, that angle looks like it isn't extreme. It it might be the angle in your second pic, because the right side looks extreme but the left doesn't.

I will have to get an angle finder hard to tell from picture, I thought it looked a bit extreme at first but it feels great, I can't imagine using the bottom hole.

I may try the top hole still, not used to seeing the arms like that. lol

Yes having them level is a reccomendation for good all around handling etc... like it is from the factory.
This is angle more for drag racing, less squat, improving the 60' and digging the tires into the ground, which is exactly what it's done!

What kind of angle is best for that? Something angled down to prevent squat?

When the axle side is lower than the chassis side, it digs the differential into the tround on acceleration, if the axle side is lower than the chassis side it actually want to lift the differential up during acceleration, when it's level it's kind of nuetral for handling purposes, I don't take hard turns or road course my car so no worries there.

I bet if you had them powder coated pussy pink you could pick up another 25-30 hp easy.

^ was thinking about this bro, but I would go for more of a periwinkle.

Here is a picture of the Bob's Auto Supply LCAs (from their website) that I still need to install on the Shelby. Hopefully I feel a little difference.

Are you running brackets? lemme see!
Are they any downsides to having too much angle?
I don't see issues on the turns but I don't take hard turns.

BTW the suspension is loaded in the pics... if anyone was wondering.

The only downside is having too much angle can shock the tires. Not so much a problem with slicks but DR's can get too much bite and you can lose traction.

I put mine on the bottom hole about 4 years ago and never looked back. I also run a BMR xtream rear sway with both ends connected. My car sees about 6k miles a year. No problems here.

I tried both positions you mentioned.
Horizontal: still wheel hop and traction lost
Middle hole:( i felt weird to put in top hole too ) same results as yours. Better improvement of grip. Car launchs better than before, a little wheel spin at 4k but not so bad.
Didn't tried top and bottom hole though
(stock height, gonna lower it soon, we'll see if it's gonna change)

I'll give it a few days and see how I like it, but I was like shocked at the difference in how the car acts when you hit the gas!

Not welded, I believe they will be fine.
Maybe in the future, who knows lol.
Per BMR these don't need to be welded (especially at my power level lol)
