So the other option was a 275/60/15 its 28 tall
But it does look like the 295/55/15 or the Monster 325/50/15 they are both 27.8 tall

Plus it is only 27.8 tall So its close to my current wheel setup

That 325 setup looks good
Plus it is only 27.8 tall So its close to my current wheel setup


they do stick out of the fender a bit, so might not be ideal if you have a shorter bump stop.

Those 325s look like a LOT of tire under these cars! I had read they would fit, but after mocking up my 15x10s and seeing how close they were to the inner fender well and the shock, I chickened out and went with 275/60s. I was thinking about trying the 295s, but in all honesty, the 275 'should' be more than enough for these cars at the power level and speeds they run. Heck, my Outlaw 8.5 car ran 5.30s at 133-134 with low 1.3x 60s all day long in the 1/8th on a MT 275 and it makes 4 times the power of my Mustang.

But big tires look badass. :)

you have to remove the bracket that half the bump stop hits. even then it will rub a little on the shock when fully extended (such as on a jack) but you very rarely see that condition when driving so I dont worry about it.

Sam, I made mine. Cardboard template, cut and drilled a couple scrap pieces of 1/8" steel plate, a few bucks worth of stainless steel cap screws, a splash of paint and you are done.

Is that bracket/pad piece on the frame rail spot welded in? How tough was that to get out? It looks MUCH cleaner with it gone and seems like it picked up a bit of clearance.

Here is the rest of the story. Undercoating removed to expose the spot welds:

Top of the plate popped out with a chisel and hammer:

Bottom of the plate cut with a cut off wheel and cleaned up with a grinder:

All in all not a very difficult job. There are spot welds on the bottom and I guess they could have been removed. But they would have been pretty hard to get at and I thought it would not hurt to leave the extra frame rail thickness on the bottom.

I found a guy local with a set of used
hoosier quicktime 275/60/15

But they are Bias not radials


im on the fence
But they are cheap

Hoosiers are great tires that hook really well but I sure wouldn't run them on the street. Which Nitto's, the 555R or the new 05?
