Just got a set of race stars from beef

Im low

but it looks like the 295.55.15 MT ET will fit

So what are most of you running on the 15x10 setup size wise?
275/50/15 seems to short @ 26"
But the 295/35/20 I run fit real tight to the fender.
So maybe a little shorter tire would be ok

Ill be running stock 355 gears 5 speed and a modest turbo setup
maybe 450 to 500 HP when all said and done

what do you trap?

if it's less than 120 - get the 26"

I had a pair of those 275/50/15's that I recently sold. They're way too short for our cars. They measure 25.4 or something like that. They would fit a fox much better. A 275/60 would be much better and shouldn't rub anywhere. I personally would go bigger than that, but that 50 isn't going to fit or look very good.

A stock 18" mustang tire is 27.2 tall (235/50/18). The measured height of the 275/50/15 that I had was 25.4. If you want to run around with shorter tires in the back, then I guess those are the tires for you.

I never measured the ones I had, but they didn't seem that short, MT lists them at 26.1

Even at 26.1, they're shorter than the front tires by over an inch. Sure they'll work, but the 60 is just a much better fitting tire for these cars.

different manufacturers will probably be a little different, but calculating the hight of a 275/50/15 tire comes out to 25.82 inches.

edit: the 275/60/15 comes out to 27.99, the 325/55/15 comes out to 27.79. I'm using a calculator I found using google.

with 4.10s or 3.73s I agree 100%

with 3.55s and a mid - high teens trap, I think the added gear effect from the 26" would be beneficial.

I agree, but ideal would be the right gear ratio for the setup, and the larger tire. Otherwise, everyone could just slap some 24" slicks on and call it a day.
