Here is the rest of the story. Undercoating removed to expose the spot welds . . . . .

Thanks for the extra pics! I'll have to remember that trick. I don't think I'll have a problem with my drag wheels/tires, but the roadrace setup may get a little 'snug" under there. :) Plus, since that bracket just spot-welds on, I think removing it skates around the "unaltered frame rail" rule. :thumb2:

Well I mounted my rear race stars tonight. They're 15x10's with 28x13.50 Hoosier QTP's. I was really worried about the tires fitting, but they're perfect. I didn't have to mod anything but the sway bar mount. These 13.50's are a little fat on the 10" wheels, but should work fine.

I put about 10 miles on it tonight and they're perfect. No rubbing at all.

You're gonna love those QTPs. I went from a 26" Mickey Thompson bias ply to a 28"Mickey Thompson drag radial to a 27" QTP. The QTPs are sick. I run the 27x11.5x15 on a 15x8 rim.

Those look good

Did you extend your studs or are you using the stock ones
Right now they're stock, but I've got some ARP 3" studs on the way.

My last set were 26x11.50 ET Streets, and I was never totally happy with them.

19COBRA93, any chance you can show some pics of the 28x13.5 from underneath? I'm curious how much clearance you have between the shock and the inner fender?

This is the only pic I've got from underneath. I spent a fair amount of time checking both sides with the suspension loaded. I'm confident there won't be any issues. The inner fender has plenty of clearance. That shock is the closest point.

Thanks. That's helps. I'm in the process of narrowing my rear end 3/4" per side and plan on ordering the same tire for my Racestars. I am also moving the lower shock mount in to provide additional clearance.
