Matte Black Wheels

Wax or sealant on flat black painted wheels will definitely put some shines on the paint. Since LRS will void the finish warranty on the Drift wheels if you use anything stronger than car wash soap, it is almost mandatory to put some sealant on the Drift wheels unless you enjoys spending hours scrubbing brake dust off the wheels. I would describe the finish as satin black now.

I got some BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond sealant left over and here's what the Drift wheel look like. Brake dust comes off easily and water is still beading after 3 washes so it is holding up pretty good. I'm still running my Ferodo race pads so these wheels are covered in brake dust very quickly.

Yep, matte black, they are really faded looking. I put stuff on there like back to black to make them look good again, it just gives them a semi gloss look which I really like.

Yeah, they said something got on the wheel that was too strong and messed up the finish. I have had it hand washed at a few car washes this summer because I wasn't going to do it in 100 degree weather. I guess I should have gone with piano black. May get them repainted in a semi gloss black too. Fuckin sux.

Wow, I guess the Forgestar Finishes don't work well for daily drivers. Guess I should have gone with Vossens or Avante Gardes.

Your best bet is to use a non-abrasive cleaner/polish like Klasse All In One. This will provide a protective layer and will make future cleaning MUCH easier. The problem with using a VRT-style product is that it will attract brake dust like crazy. Klasse is non abrasive as mentioned so it will not alter the texture of the finish in any way.

You have to be careful on how you clean them, but mine were sex back then.

Ordered them last March right when I bought the car. I think it is from a cleaner that one of the detail places may have used on it one time. I was paying people to do my car in the middle of summer when it was around 100+ degrees outside because I didn't have a garage last year.

autoality, but i believe soon only auto geek is going to carry optimum here shortly amongst a few other shops that get their supply through pbmg.

I believe autogeek/pbmg is the exclusive distributor for optimum now. So if you have a private shop you have to go through them.

I just bought that Detailer's Club deal and was on the site. Seemed like they still have Optimum products on there. I'm assuming until they run out of inventory.
