Power Steering Bypass ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought our cars were hydro-boost? So if you run a short belt to bypass the p/s not only do you have manual steering but won't you also have manual (no power) brakes? I know it's a track only mod I'd just hate to have try to stop my car with manual brakes. Or is it really not a big deal?

Brakes in S197s are all vac assisted, no hydroboost on these cars.

Some ppl are claiming 2-3 tenths. its really easy to do. would take 10 mins at most.

i have a paxton blower on my car... will it affect anything since its belt driven? and would it be the same lenth?

I think the concern with that route is there will be less surface area contact on the WP pulley which might cause it to slip.

i forgot to post, i tried this several times, my car was pretty consistent on every pass and i can tell that i did not get any better results, the car ran the same with or without this mod. the only different feeling was the car felt better down the track since you dont have the sensible steering instead its tight
