I just failed today! My buddys scanner had the green light, but everything came up has unsupported when I took it in! I have one high flow cat where the y pipe is.

This will not pass in NJ without having two factory cats or two high flow cats with non foulers one the rear O2 sensors.

You would also have to have all emissions equipment "turned on" in the tune.

& now my buddy just told me he saw a little bit of blue smoke on the way back:wtf1:. So passing emission's is the least of my problems.

Kind of in a pickle there, I know I got a tune from AM with all the emission stuff on.
Went for a 40mile ride through the drive cycle and passed the OBD part of the inspection with ready everything.
Think you should talk to them again, if the o2 sensors are off it would say not ready, not "not supported".
Like mine did before I got the emissions tune.

When is the last time you spoke to AM?
Forget Mike who used to work there.
Call up the bamatuning number and speak to Don, tell him you would like your o2 sensors and emissions equipment turned on in the tune.

I assumed you had am tunes for life? I haven't paid to update a tune in about 4 years.
Either way just telling you what worked for me, or you can keep arguing with your tuner lol.

Like others have stated, you need an emissions tune. Your sensors are not shut off but they have been manipulated in a way that the car will not throw codes but the sensors will also never be "ready."

The only way I am aware of it passing is if you run stock cats or high flows with O2 non-foulers on the rear sensors with the appropriate emissions tune.

fdjizm, did you have the cats on your car when you took her in?

No cats, just non-foulers and a tune with my o2's and emission related equipment on.
I had some "help" on the visual portion though, private inspection.
But the computer passed the car as normal.

OK so you had O2 non-foulers... Those little suckers work wonders. It is a bit harder to trick the 2011+ cars though. Seems like what works for some doesn't work for others. I get calls about this issue weekly so I am working on developing definite solutions to all setups.

Thanks!

I can tell you that if the o2's NEVER get "ready" they are not on in the tune.
Not sure why you're getting unsupported an if that specifically means that the o2's are off, not sure.
