So I'm debating on what to do as my next mod. I was thinking I would do drag radials, but truly, I rarely would get to the track. I'm about to have my first child in the next couple months and the closest track is 65 miles away for an 1/8th mile, 2.5 hours for a 1/4 mile. So needless to say, drag radials will probably collect dust. The most joy I get from my car is just driving it and enjoying some of the local back roads occasionally, so I think I'm going to focus on modifying it for that. Those things considered... I'm not sure what to do next?

Right now I'm leaning towards an aluminum driveshaft probably from axle exchange or powerhouse. My question is, will this give me a real seat of the pants difference? Seeing as how ETs aren't really in my future too much, what I want is a solid gain on the butt dyno.

My mods are listed in my sig. If you see anything that isn't there that I should consider over the DS then please let me know, and give me your thoughts. User reviews on the suggested mods would be great too.

Personally, in order of first choice and then down

Tokico D-Specs
LCA's
1 piece DS
U/D pullets
EH20

Do the D-specs though man.. at $530 or so they're right in your budget, and you will honestly LOVE the way they change your ride.

Damn, everyone is saying pullies and I just sold mine because I'd rather have the $100 then go through the crap of installing them for 2-3whp.

Long tubes were a thought, but you can't get too many good longtubes for the amount I was looking to spend.

D-specs... meh. I couldn't care less about how the car handles. I'm a straight line man. Always have been, always will be.

More opinions!

Put the money under your mattress & save up for a blower. Nothing for 500.00 is going to give you a real seat of the pants difference.

yea id say nawz or longtubes the d/s is nice but it wont give you a seat of the pants feel i think your best bet would be nitrous to f off with or the longtubes for sound & a lil hp ....

i'd say do some apperance something or other to your car or maybe a head unit? Remember doing anything power wise with your car will be good, then remember to factor in another tune...

i gotta agree with this, if you want maximum sop for the lowest $$. an aluminum ds...not that much sop imho...plus...not to start a war with anyone, but they can be a crap shoot as far as getting one that doesn't vibe. a lot of guys don't have any trouble at all, but also quite a few do have trouble. trust me, if you get one that vibrates, it's a major pita and you won't enjoy driving the car.

i don't think any mod that gains only 5 or 10 hp will be noticeable....it's the combination of all of them when it starts adding up. you already did gears, so that's a good one right there.

If you're into drag racing i have no suggestion really, but if it were me why not go with a brake upgrade or shocks and struts?
