it start 3 week ago with a stumble at 80 for a second. Over time it has gotten worst to the point where it was happening all the time plus there a noise in the timing chain area (at the time i thought it was my stock tob going) when decelerating and now when revving down. I got a P0345 and read that it can be caused by a bad alternator. since it was the original alt I change it and the spark plugs an it seemed to help a little bit. I decided to take it to a shop. they tried swapping out a few sensors: maf and camshaft position sensors but didn't fixed the stumbling. so they put the original sensors back. The mechanic unpluged the VCT solenoid and then the car ran normal with out the timing chain noise. He didn't want to go any farther so he told me to take it to a dealership where they have better equipment to diagnostic what the issue is. I got a new VCT solenoid and tried replacing driver's side (bank two) solenoid didn't help so I put in the original and replaced the passenger side (bank one) also didn't help. Any Idea before i take it to a dealership?
