I will just get this out of the way first. I know a lot of folks on here aren't very fond of me. Understandable. I did everything I could to make things right and took care of what I messed up. With that said, I am starting this build thread to open up to you guys what I am doing with a project. If anyone has anything bad to tell me, or say about me, or wants to just dog cuss me, I understand, but please do it in a pm...

Moving forward, I just recently acquired an 08 GT. I believe it use to belong to JP08GT on here. I bought it from a good friend in Louisiana. I bought his car as a roller with a few other parts.

Here are the plans for the car....

Cosmetics:
Rebuild the front end to factory specs.
Replace bumper cover with GT500 setup (many of you remember this on my 06)
Cowl hood
GT500 rear spoiler
I have big plans for wheels, and will post pics once they are finished.

Power:
The car will be running a 302" stroker setup.
The Stage 2 heads on the engine will be hand worked for a bit more flow, and they will be flowed.
Custom grind blower cams.
Novi2200 hopefully somewhere between 20-24psi.
Kooks 1 3/4" primaries with 3" collector. o/r X setup.
Magnapack full 3" catback

Drivetrain:
TR6060 swap
RXT clutch setup
Billet flywheel
Aluminum one piece shaft
Moser 35 splines
True Trac
C-clip eliminators
Aerospace lightweight brakes front and rear
All tubular suspension front and rear (more details later)

Like stated before, I bought the car as a roller, wrecked in the front end. It is going to the local Ford dealership in a week or so to get looked at and for them to get started on fixing it correctly.

Here are some pics of the car as it sits....

The car when Paul (my06GT) got it...

The car on its way home this past Friday....

The car as it sits now....

I will be posting updates as I go. It will be pic heavy I'm sure. This is the most in depth build on an S197 for me thus far. So please be patient with me as I might have some questions for a lot of you.

Thanks for your interest,
Chris

Hey Eric, it will perform more on the track, but I also want to turn on the a/c and drive it to Florida.

Man we know its gonna be slow cause of the obvious problems of that extra valve causing more drag on the flux capacitor, and those cod sprockets are just retarded!

Been slammed with work after the holidays... Spoke with G-force transmissions today. I am considering a 5 speed. Regardless if it's 5 or 6 speed, I love the 3rd pedal.

A reworked 3650 will never be as strong or smooth as a stock 6060. The gears are smaller on the 3650 and they are the next weak link once the input shaft is upgraded.

Something to think about.

More than likely will be a beefed TKO.
