Do you think he screwed up on the quote? Or, do you think he did a low quote to be dishonest? Big difference imo. Kind of like getting change for a $20 when you paid with a $10 vs not getting the advertised part because of a shady transaction.

Honestly, I don't believe he did. One reason is because I was quoted for the same exact kit from another Vendor, and their price was $400 or so more. So less than $500 price difference on a big ticket item between two Vendors doesn't raise a flag and make me think "Hey, maybe he quoted me the wrong price."

Now, as far as the dishonest question. It's hard to trust a lot of people nowadays but I don't believe he would intentionally be dishonest.

Ryan showed me the PM's. Ryan specifically stated what he wanted, and it was clear as day in the text. The entire conversation was together from where he asked to get pricing on 4 items and he got the quote back.

Sure did.

Not my place to say and I think Ryan is waiting until he hears back from the vendor Monday to see what if anything can be worked out.

Y'all will know tomorrow after I speak with them on the phone. I will be showing him the screen shots of our PMs when the deal was made. I'm giving them benefit of the doubt and seeing what he is going to do for me because he has to talk to his Paxton Rep.

Oh, so in other words he's going to try and get his Paxton rep to take the hit for his mistake?

Sorry, I'm probably out of line again. I agree with the others above that your word/reputation is the only thing you own worth saving. Everything else can be replaced.

I've been wondering the same thing. Pretty sure he bought it off beef. Could be wrong but hope you get what you ordered. I agree with everybody else though, it's easier to fix 1 mistake and have your name in good graces than down the toilet

I thought that as well just because he said Paxton. We shall see though.

People make mistakes, but when it's your mistake, you gotta eat it. It sucks, but those PM's are a contract.

Why did you post up if you aren't going to name the vendor? Giving him something to think about?

Because I think people should know, I mean, we need to try to protect each other right? I'm not trying to fuck the supplier over either but this will help both parties involved.

I'm taking a refund back. Terry and I spoke over the phone and he proposed a deal, but I didn't want to shell out anymore money than I already have. So no bridges have been burned, just couldn't reach an agreement.

If anyone wants details you can shoot a PM(Staff, Admin, etc.)

Dave, do I need to show you the screen shots?

Also, why don't we remove every reference from every other deal in that was posted about in here that was settled? Wouldn't that make those people "Not Bad Sellers"?

no, whether there was a miss-communication or not IDK. yes you asked for a specific product, you didn't get it, for what ever reason, you are out no money correct?

mistakes happen. he made you whole. I don't see it as a bad seller.

you ninja edited

for a couple of reasons.

1) he made you whole without any issue that I see.
2) it's not like every other issue between private parties.
3) IMO, you jumped the gun on posting in here to begin with.
