Honestly I have never had good luck with ceramics. They always end up glazing my rotors. I'd go semi-metallic personally. Let me know how these work out for you. I want better brakes but can't do a big brake kit because of my foose nitrous wheels.

Well I dont go to the track,and I dont think that it matters that much,they really stop good,even with the blower's weight at the front

i hit the track so i'm thinking of going with the hawks but i think rotopros sells some performance brake pads for 75 bucks

i'll be ordering my brake pads as soon as I get off this graveyard shift. Going to go with the hawks and hopefully get it all installed this friday if I get them in by then. Never done a brake install but I'm reading my haynes manual right now and see if I can do it. Only thing I'm scared of is the bleeding process. Ill
Be ordering my suspension mods tomorrow as well so it might be a nice and busy weekend coming up. Love getting new mods!

No need to bleed with a pad and rotor swap. Not a bad idea to change your brake fluid out annually, but I'd wager that the vast majority of cars are still rolling around on the factory fluid. Other than some anti-squeal goo on the back of the pads it's basically nuts and bolts.

Nope, no bleeding required. You unbolt the calipers from the knuckle, but the lines stay attached (just use some safety wire or something to support the caliper, don't let it hang by the hose!).

You will probably want to rent/buy a caliper piston compressor since your new pads and rotors will both be thicker to some extent than the old ones and you won't be able to get things back together..basically just pushes the piston back into the caliper to widen the gap up so you can fit it over the rotor.

There are probably hundreds of how-to's on this subject if you search around with google..looking at some of those would be a good idea and will probably ease your mind. It's a very simple job really! Good luck! :thumb:

I got the drilled/slotted with Hawk pads from Chevykiller. Just ordered the rear Hawk pads from AM. The rear is starting to make the grind noise and my front left rotor is warped.

your new rotors are warped and making the grinding noise? or your old set? i was about to order the hawk pads from AM but i can get a set of centric performance pads here local for 90 bucks for the whole set.... thinking of trying those out and saving 60 bucks on it

stock set is grinding and the old stock rotos is warped
