In my quest to find some 19x9.5 or x10 wheels, I've read through the wheel/tire threads, discovered the calculators, etc.

I understand what defines positive, negative, and "Zero" offset, but the burning question remains....

What is the minimum offset requirement to clear Brembo equipped cars?

If the spoke shape is right an 18x10 ET43 fits on the front of these cars very well at all four corners. Perfect examples of this are the SVE Drifts from Late Model Restoration or the D-Force wheels that Vorshlag sells. They clear the 14" Brembo's.

A 285/35/18 fits very well on an 18x10 wheel up front with only minor rubbing of the front fender liners at full lock (in both directions). A 5mm spacer would move them out far enough to eliminate most of that IMO. With less negative camber you might not have issues rubbing at all (I'm at -3.0º) with that tire size. I'm sure taller would be fine too. Wider up front will most likely require a spacer to move the tire away from the strut housing.

An 18x10.5 ET38 also fits up front but has a slight poke out back.

Spoke design can also affect fitment, not just straight offset.

My stock 18" bullet has a stock offset of 50MM. It took a 7/8" (22.2MM) spacer to just clear the 4 pot brembo. 6 pot brembo is even thicker I believe. So if my math is correct, minimum would be around 38MM.

I gotcha. I have a set of Conti ExtremeContact DW in 275/35 just waiting for the wheels I finally decide on. But from what you guys are saying it comes down to spoke design. Do you just get to a point where you can spot it? Otherwise you'd think you have to test fit any options. :/ I'm probably gonna go with Dark Stainless Drifts and hope I don't hate them.

IMO the easiest way to see if a wheel will clear brembos, is to check for wheels that will fit a gt500.

Forgestar F14 18x10 43 offset.
And Apex EC7 18x10 43 offset.

I bought the F14 on sale for under 1200 shipped but usually nearer 1400.

Beautiful wheels. I'm really diggin those Apex EC7 but I need to keep my wheel budget low (for now) so I can throw some power adders on.

Keep in mind that if you get aftermarket suspension that fitment could be an issue.

What is your budget? What type of wheels do you like? Colors youre looking at? I might be able to assist you in finding some

It's not just spoke design, but barrel design. It's all about clearing those big, square calipers.

Another option that fits is the AMR 18x10 at American Muscle. Not the lightest, but for the price it's one to consider. With -2.75 deg camber and 275/40-18 RE-11As I get slight rub at full lock.
