Can someone weigh this thing before they mount it? I'm just curious as to how much difference there is from the stock plastic manifold...

How dare you get back on topic...lol

Seriously, I can't imagine it weighs ridiculous but it would be nice to know exactly how much. The stock intake is nothing. The JPC intake I have is just a couple pounds and I'm assuming the C&L is less than 3 lbs but good question.

What's with the nipple in the TB port? Is there a mirrored one on top, some magic trick to getting good flow?
Dan

That's a bolt boss for what appears to be the access plate on the bottom. You need to be able to get to the runners - or be able to plumb up some super sneaky NOS system that's hidden underneath.........

I am sad to say that I didn't make it to the dyno today due some personal stuff that is going on. It's gonna be a week or two until I have time to go. Sorry guys, but I will get there as soon as I get these personal issues resolved.

If Doug is right and mine arrives by midweek, I'll have it on the dyno Friday and racing Saturday or Sunday...

The gt500 tb bolts right up to this as I was told. Check with Doug at Bamachips to make sure.

The GT and the GT500 T/Bs bolt pattern is different. From what I see on the manifold there is only one bolt pattern.

It can't be different. I have the metco gt500 tb kit and it bolted right up to my stock manifold last year. I sent it to Doug to do some testing with the new intake, but it will bolt up to the C & L with no problems.

You can make the GT500 work, you just have to work the holes a bit to the inside and that's it. The Bolt pattern isn't exactly the same but can be worked easily.

The you go. You have the Metco GT500 "kit". That kit brings an adapter plate that goes between the manifold and the TB. Otherwise, it wouldn't fit. Love the intake, btw. I want one.

I don't know how to feel about that.

While we are on the subject, the GT-500 TB I received had the holes bored out a bit so that an adapter plate wouldn't be necessary. It fits fine for me.

On the original topic, the intake looks good at least.

That makes good sense. I don't see why doing that would be a problem as opposed to a $100 adapter plate.
